Its the second weekend in September, at 3 or 4 in the afternoon, and it's indoors. It's not a real formal wedding, but it's not casual either. I need help! I really like these two, but I've never been to a wedding, so I don't know what's appropriate. I like the first one (black and white), but can you wear black? Is there too much white to where the bride would get pissed? How about the brown and pink one? Any opinions help. Or, if you have a link to some cute dresses, let me know. Thanks!

The one thing that nobody suggested is to politely ask the bride.
Send the links to her and tell her that you like both but think it might be poor form to wear #1 since she is wearing white and ask her opinion.

It's always best to keep it simple and tasteful. I think of the two, I would go with the black and white one. There's not too much white in it, but enough to take away some of the severity of the black. The brown and pink one with the lace up back may be very cold if you're indoors with air conditioning. You have great instincts.

Hope you have a great time at the wedding!

I like the black and white one better but not for a wedding, it is poor form to wear white to a wedding and the material itself seems a little bridesy, so I definitely wouldn't do it. The brown and pink one is also really cute, and more appropriate since it has no chance of offending anyone. Brides are at their most sensitive on their wedding day, so best to play it safe!

Oooh...they are both cute! I personally like the first one better (and no, there's not too much black OR white in it), but if you feel that you may be "crossing the line" (i.e., wearing too much white), then go with the other one.

They are both gorgeous dresses, and whichever you feel the most comfortable in (and LOOK the best in) should be the one you go with.

Good luck, girl!

(P.S. - They are not that expensive; why not buy them both and save one for a future wedding/event? That way you don't have to make a decision right away as to which one you want to wear that day ;))

I love the first one. I do not like the pattern on the second one because I have this weird thing going on with my eyes and those sort of patterns make me feel queasy, I can't look at honeycomb patterns either lol...honestly the first dress is gorgeous and by no means is there too much white, it, got a dark colour under it, it looks nothing like a wedding dress.

I just love the first one. That is black with a netting overlay, so that would be very appropriate. Also black is an accepted color for someone to wear to a wedding as a guest, so don't fret. That dress is gorgeous. With the right accessories, you will look like a knockout.

They're both really cute! I like the white and black one the best. I really don' think the Bride would have a problem with some white being in the dress, there is the black belt across the middle and wear black heals.

I like both equally so here's my suggestion, think about the bride's overall attitude. If she is a total bridezilla avoid the first, but if she isn't then go for it.
I know I would be upset if someone wore the first to my wedding but that is just because my wedding dress is actually ivory lace with black under it. But that is my wedding and mine is totally non-traditional so I don't think you need to worry about that.

The black and white one is better for a wedding. The pink and brown one is very cute, but better for a date.
