I'm not looking to spend a lot of money. I want to cap the costs at $1000. Any suggestions? I want a traditional and elegant wedding, which I know Vegas offers. No Elvis weddings or that sort.

Many of the hotels in Vegas are beautiful, but if you don't want a theme wedding be careful. For example the Luxor, though beautiful is shaped like a pyraid and is Egyptian themed. Ceasars, also gorgeous, Roman themed. Paris is obvious, and the Venetian is like a small version of Venice.

The Bellagio, The Wynn and Mandalay Bay are more elegant, non themed places. I fell in love with the Bellagio and that is probably where I would go, it is so beautiful. It is the one with the dancing fountains in front, great picture op!!

Good luck!

My husband and I got married at the The Little Church of the West Chapel. We got the begining package #1 as it was only him, myself, my mom, my brother and his fiance present. So, we really didn't need everything else. It was only $199, which taxes was about $220 max I think. With a $50 donation to the minister. All in all, it cost us: license ($55), chapel, donation, gas and night at the Hard Rock Cafe: $600. My mom has stock and time shares at the resort, so we got two bedroom pent house only for only $99 for 3 nights due to that.

It is a short distance to the strip. Down about a mile or so from the Cancun Resort (where we stayed) near the airport.

It is very beautiful chapel. They do elegant weddings from small to a good-large decent size wedding party.

matter of fact, Full House star, Jodie Sweeten just got remarried there a few months ago herself. She also recommended it in an interview she did.

lots of really nice places and it doesn't have to cost the earth. Most of the hotels have lovely wedding facilities (we got married at the Bellagio last year and loved it) or if you prefer an indepdent chapel Little Church of the West, Little Chapel of the Flowers and Graceland Wedding Chapel are all really nice.

The website below lets you browse every chapel in Vegas and search wedding packages by cost.

Good luck - and congratulations!

We got married in the Victorian chapel at Little Chapel of the Flowers www.littlechapel.com this past May.
The minister was awesome-he really personalized our service, the staff was super, and I cannot recommend this chapel enough for people going to Vegas.

I truly never imagined getting married in Vegas, and didn´t know what to expect, but if we had to do it over, we would. LCof the F made everything perfect for us!

I'm getting married in Oct. in the Valley of Fire State Park outside of Vegas, but staying in Vegas. Might not be your thing, but I fell in love with the idea and place once I saw it. Not everyone can afford to come, but hey, it's my day. Got to www.valleyoffireweddings.com...that's who I'm using.

It all depends on what you are looking for - visit the sites of the hotels itself and see their photos of the chapels. I got married in the Excalibur, and I loved the chapel - very medieval themed.

All of the hotels have packages that will accomodate your budget -- best of luck!
