We had been together just shy of 3 years. He recently decided to part ways not on the best of terms through an email. He told me to do as I wish with the ring, it was mine to keep or sell... and if I sold it and wanted to give him half that would be very generous of me. Any contact he has with me via email only, as of the past 2 weeks he never ceases to not mention the ring and what am I going to do with it. My thought is you told me it was mine to do as i'd like with it... DON'T BE AN INDIAN GIVER NOW. Furthermore, for right now I'm not going to do anything with the ring but keep it... it was a symbol of committment to me that he broke and I'm not ready to part ways with it yet. I will do something with it when i'm ready to do so. He's making me feel guilty about the ring even though he said he under no circumstance wants it back, but rather just money for it if i were to be so kind. Well I'm not feeling so kind right now... remember, YOU BROKE MY HEART. What should i do?????

Is there anyone here, who would be fine if their fiance did not want a wedding band for personal reasons that have nothing to do with money ( honestly )?

I'm getting married in December in Sri Lanka. We are marrying inland beside a lake with a rainforest and mountains as the background rather than by the ocean. I'm not sure what to wear, its going to be about 20 deg C and there are traditional girls and drummers there.

Heres the thing, I'm not fussed on the whole white/ivory dress concept, I think gold would be lovely and special. I think it will go with my golden blonde hair which I will wear down curly.

I am size 12 on the bottom, size 16 on the top. I have a big bust, big belly, no bum and skinny arms and legs. I am quite fair skinned and blue eyed.

I think the diamond should be around 0.75 carat in size. However, my friend at work is getting his fiancee-to-be a diamond sized 0.25..I think she'll be disappointed. What do you think is a good sized diamond?

I am not sure what the protocol is here. Can I have a bridesmaid or two...my man will be having a best man.
What have others done? Did you still carry flowers?. It is an intimate wedding at our home. Was thinking of having my older sister. She means the world to me. And if I did, can I just tell her to get herself any dress she would like? I really dont mind what she wears to be honest, it is not about the clothes but about the ceremony.

hey, i was just wondering if the mother of the bride actually buys a gift for the newlyweds.....since the brides parents pay for most of the wedding. Is it rude not to, what is expected of the brides family?

Mom is the guilt trip queen. She guilt trips me about not comign to visit her often, and my plans to move four states away. (1) she always put men before my brother and I (2) no showed at my wedding she says because her new husband instigated a fight with her and convinced her not to go (3) I finally forgave her and am civil and invited her to my husband's military retirement ceremony which also invloves me (sort of a second chance thing to bond) She sent us a gift 4 months before saying in case you couldn't make it... Guess what she made an excuse and didn't. (4) She started a war with her brother's/ sisters built a privacy fence between her house and theirs pissed them off then left the house to rot which was the home I grew up in. (5) expects me to call the home she shacked up in with her husband instead of my wedding my home. I am tired, going to school and working full time. Does she need to pull her head out of her *** or what? They have not once visited us.

I have been searching for a reception site in my area, Lewiston Maine, or surrounding area's (up to 25 miles or so) Mainly what I want is formal, but not to much so, I would like a hotel/inn environment, so guests can stay at the location. I would like to be able to seat 150 people at least. I need a site that can cater onsite and provide a bar service. I am looking to spend 20-30 a head.

Maybe someone else can have more luck searching then me? Please post links, and thank you very much!

What is a good project to give a Mom to help out with the wedding, if you are the main planner? Flower girl basket? etc....

what do you think?

I am talking about a 6-7 member band that plays praise and worship songs. They will be playing five songs, three of which they will be learning just for this occasion.

my fiance saw some wedding dresses and only likes the straight dresses. the thing is I have always wanted to wear a ballgown style and I won't feel as bride-y in a straight dress. I also want to be a modest bride not sexy and feel that he only likes straight because it shows off the body. am I being selfish wearing what I like?

Because if she is my sister-in-law's cousin(by blood) then she should be my cousin by marriage. Or a relative by marriage. Plus we all love each other like we have known each other for years but my brother just married my sister-in-law recently, and my sister-in-law's family are people we will be seeing for the rest of our lives because we all love each other. My brother's mother-in-law and her sisters love me like I was actually related to them by blood, and my mom and sister-in-law's mother and aunts are like sisters. So is my sister-in-law's cousin by blood related to me by marriage? Because that girl's cousin is my sister-in-law so she should be my cousin too or some relative by marriage. So is my sister-in-law's cousin related to me by marriage at all?

I am going for a kind of goth/punk wedding and I am having a hard time finding stuff that fits mine or my fiance`s style. I listen to My Chemical Romance & my fiance` listens to rockabilly music and this is a big part of who we are. I want the color scheme to be black, red and ivory. It is an October outdoor wedding in a small garden with a japanese restaurant reception.
The question is: how do I decorate for this type of wedding? Does it need a theme or can I just mesh all our favorites into it? Not really sure where to go from here...

For most weddings, after the mass is over at the church, the couple comes down the aisle and greets each guest as they exit the church - then they are "supposed" to exit the church, where everyone awaits outside, ready to throw rice or blow bubbles, then get into a limo and are whisked away to the reception and/or photo location. HOWEVER, at my ceremony, our families want to take pictures AT the church before my fiance and I go to our photo location with the bridal party. So OUR ceremony would have us greet each guest as they leave, then exit the church so that the guests can blow bubbles, then we are going back INTO the church to take pictures with our families. This seems kind of dorky to me (the whole concept of leaving down the aisle, the guests being greeted then leaving, then us going past them again, then going back into the church). How can we do all of this without it being so ridiculous and dorky?! Help :) :)

I'm trying to find the name of a certain song. It's played as the bride is walking down the aisle, and it's not "Here comes the Bride". The only time I can remember it being played is during The Princess Diaries 2, it plays as Mia walks down the aisle. It's some kind of classical peice, and it's a very light melody. Thanks!

Our wedding ceremony will be outside March 8th. We are on a lake (the main reason we picked the location) however, the trees that are planted in the concrete of the facility are going to be leave-less since spring hasn't quite come about yet.

The ceremony is at 2pm, so lights will just look tacky.

I was thinking tulle? But have no clue what to do with it or how to wrap the dead looking trees with it.

Ideas?
