Our wedding ceremony will be outside March 8th. We are on a lake (the main reason we picked the location) however, the trees that are planted in the concrete of the facility are going to be leave-less since spring hasn't quite come about yet.

The ceremony is at 2pm, so lights will just look tacky.

I was thinking tulle? But have no clue what to do with it or how to wrap the dead looking trees with it.

Ideas?

Make the trees part of the ceremony by hanging pictures of the families and friends who are going to attend. Very easy to do and inexpensive plus fun to make!

I wouldn't hang anything from the branches but perhaps your florist can make large tulle bows to wrap around the trunks. Make sure the bows are all at the same height. Obviously the bows can be white or you could choose a color that complements your flowers and bridesmaid gowns, etc.

A plain leave-less tree would be solomen and more appropriate. If your more for being funny Id say dress the tree up in wedding clothes otherwise do big ribbons on the trunk in your wedding colors

I'd say paper lanterns are a good idea, and also hanging old family pics from ribbon with a bow would be a cute idea too. Then people can get a history of both sides without having to ask!

I got paper lanterns from www.orientaltrading.com

I like the paper lantern idea. You don't have to light them either. They come in all sorts or colors and shapes and sizes. This is a website someone on here sent me. I love this site!

Also, I'm not sure what the tree looks like but maybe you could find a way to string flowers on it?? Not sure how but I can picture something pretty in my mind! =] Good Luck!

Paper lanterns might be fun. Or stars maybe? Or doves or bells?

You could wrap the trunks with tulle or ribbon. I don't think I'd string ribbon in the branches.

I personally dislike tulle, but maybe you could hang ornaments of some kind. I would go look at christmas time/or right after christmas. You never know what you might find.

I would make mini 'flower balls' and hang those from the trees!! or tie single flowers on randomly with ribbons that match your decor.

What about crystals? If it is nice and sunny that day, they will create beautiful rainbows and wimsical feel.

It will look really pretty.
