I'm happily married but it all went so quickly the day we got married, we want to do it again - just privately for us, maybe abroad as we didn't have a honeymoon. Is it legal to do it twice?

So i am in a relationship with the same guy for a year in August. I'm feeling like he is someone I could easily spend the rest of my life with. We don't live together but still maintain a great relationship. But I am feeling in my heart that if we are so compatible and we get along great what's the next step. I never ever bring up the "marriage" topic but he has been making comments like "well I can't see myself getting married anytime soon." or the latest one was we were watching a program on how women make all the decisions on wedding planning and he said " well when I'm 85 and get married she can make all the decisions she wants!". So what's the deal here? Is he dropping hints that it's not time yet...or EVER. Does that mean I need to ask him if he sees us being married because I don't want to waste time on this relationship if he's just not that into me...

my daughter is getting married in the fall. this is my oldest child and the first of my children to get married.
the dress code is semi formal. the problem is with my bf..he's kind of an "old fart" in his ways. he owns one suit jacket that is not BAD looking, it's a cream color and on "special occasions" he will wear it with a pair of khaki pants. i know he's had this jacket for over 20 years because i've seen pictures of him wearing it when his (now 21 yr old) son was born! i'm holding off asking him about getting a suit for the wedding cause i'm afraid he'll want to wear that same get up!
it's not about money..he has money which he spends freely..
he just has absolutely no fashion sense and doesn't care about such things.
besides..i'm more than willing to pay for a suit.
any ideas on how do i approach this?
i'm kind of thinking that if he doesn't get a suit, i'd rather not have him come to the wedding.

Hello! Can someone please offer some ideas for an inexpensive wedding rehearsal dinner? Some family issues have really put a dent in our wedding budget so we are cutting back here and there. For the rehearsal dinner, what can I do that will be nice yet affordable? Catering is out of the question. The only thing I can come up with is doing vegetable and fruit platters. What do you think? Too cheap? Acceptable?

Thanks for the advice.

I'm a 40 yr old woman and he is 43 yrs old and he lives and takes care of his mom (his dad died 6 yrs ago). We are making wedding plans to get married next year in June '2008 outside in a gazebo. He does not spend the night with me because we are not married and mommy does not like it, when I'm over their house I can not go into his room for a long period of time because she thinks we are doing the nasty - I have more respect for myself and would never do anything like that. I do not have medical insurance right now, so he suggested getting married thru the County Clerk's office, but when I told him that I would like for him to spend the night with me, he said that he can't because we would not be married thru the church "mommy" would not approve. His 1st marriage was thru the great catholic church and that marriage ended in divorce, my point is that two people make a marriage, not the church. There is so much more, but I'm sure you get the point!!
I need advice and quick.....

I am getting married next year and I need a father/daughter song. My dad and I both like country. He is big tough guy and our relationship isn't one of those mushy ones...I call him Dad, or Old Man...not Daddy. I want a good song, but not one that is played at every wedding, I want something a little more original.

My brother and his fiance are getting married this coming Sat-7/7. No guests are invited as it's just a quick little thing, but they do want to send out announcements after they get married. We are all having a very hard time finding a website that sells announcements. All we can find are wedding invitations and engagement announcements, but not marriage announcements. Any help would be great.

My brother had a fight with my parents over the rehearsal dinner. He wanted them to spend more money, and they just don't have it. Now he says they are not invited to the wedding unless they apologize. They think he's being spoiled and are not going to apologize or go to the wedding. I have tried to convince my brother to make up with them, and he says I am siding with them and obviously don't care about him. I've decided not to go to the wedding either. Is that horrible of me?

I am looking for a different kind of cake(flavor wise). I have no clue what to go with. My fiance and I don't want a white cake. Our wedding is already really crazy. So any crazy ideas would be great. We wanted our wedding to be really different and unique. Something everyone will talk about. We really love berries(strawberries, raspberries, black and blue berries) but don't know what kind of cake to go with it. any suggestions?

My fiancee and i would like to invite most of our family members and friends to our wedding. This will mean a pretty big group, around 350 pax. Since we want to include everyone, serve delicious food, have good entertainment and decor, we need to find ways to budget in other areas. Here in the Philippines it is not unusual for guests who are close to one another (like siblings and their wives or football buddies) to be given a shared invitation. Basically meaning one invitation with two couples written on it or three buddies, or the like, then they just inform each other of the details. I personally don't mind when this happens to me but i would like to know your opinion, would it really matter a lot to you to share an invitation?

Just a question ok, i haven't done anything yet so no violent reactions! Thanks!
