My dad is getting married in 2 weeks.... second wife.... I love her!!! I am 22, my brother is 19, she has a daughter that is 19 and a son that is 16. I was going to call them and go in on something together, but it might be hard considering my brother lives in different state....

Does anyone have any ideas on what I should get them???

Keep in mind, they are in the process of building a house on a lake in connecticut.

This might sound hokey but a plaque stating there names, marriage date and engraved with all kids names saying something to the effect to my new mom and dad hope you have many years together. As we get older it is more of the thought and the appreciation and understanding that we old folks want above any monetary gift. The acceptance of our new life together by all the children involved would end up being a treasure that both would enjoy, and cherish as the years go by.

Get them a gift certificate to a nice Bed and Breakfast. It's so romantic and they will enjoy being together! Or a gift certificate to a spa where they can both be pampered and have all the wedding stresses massaged away!

I gave my dad a double sided frame with engraved messages below each side. One side had daddy's little girl and the other side said my wedding date. I put a picture in on one side( the side that said daddy's little girl) of my dad and I dancing when I was 5 years old and one of us dancing at my wedding on the other side. If you had no picture of you dancing then just a picture of you when you were young will do fine. For the two of them I got a silver wine holder with a poem inscribed in it thanking them for everything. I know that wont help them build their house but I guarantee you it will be displayed very proudly. ( i went to things remembered to have them both done)

you could get them a gift card to help with building the house, like previously mentioned,
Or you could also get them a nice dinner somewhere really nice, just for them. Maybe even a weekend in a honeymoon suite. Newlyweds need one on one time.
Good luck, be thankful she is a good person and you like her,

A boat! Hehe. Maybe one of those 2 person paddle boats, or a simple small row boat, so they can enjoy nice romantic nights on the water.
