NO, the man buys the woman her wedding band and the woman buys the man his wedding band. It's kind of like presents for each other to start their lives together.

Technically you are supposed to buy his and he buys yours.
In reality it doesn't matter who buys the rings since after you exchange vows your finances are legally combined anyway.

usually man buys for the bride, bride buys for the bride. but what's becoming more popular that the groom pays for both. to each his own desire of how you guys want to do it.
