This happens every few months. Today we were out eating at Quizno's, after waiting so long for food I told him I was going to go sit down. He yelled my name to the other side "COME GET YOUR FOOD, WTF WERE YOU THINKING".

I don't know why he couldn't have brought my food. Everyone in line just stared at me like I did something wrong. It was so degrading as a female.

Should I have slapped him?

My dad died in february. My aunt keeps asking me who will be doing it. Should it be an older uncle or cousin? Someone that my dad would have liked to fill his place? Does it have to be family?

*I know that I don't have to have one, but it'd be nice.

i need one or two more comparrisons and a way to finish it off
here is what i already have:

ladies and gentlemen, for those of you here that dont know me, im john and im grahams brother, for those young ladies of you here i have a well paid job,my own car and my own place, so come and see me later and we can get to know each other a bit better!

(at that point i turn to one of the bridesmaids and give her a wink and say...)
'allo laura...wink wink alright? wink wink

right, back to the speech
i dont think graham will like me saying this but as this is such a big occasion, i think we should be asking a really big question.....

and that question, ladies and gentlemen, i belive should be is becky getting good value?

the best way to answer this is to compare graham to the 3 or 4 main points you would consider when buying a secondhand car

(i have answers for the the first question 1+2 so dont need any help for them, just 3+4)
1: is he a good runner?
2: bodywork?

I am hosting a bridal shower and was thinking it would be nice to get a little gift for the mother of the bride too. But then her grandmother will also be there, as will the mother and grandmother of the groom. Should I get them all something? Just the bride's mom? Or no one?

I am getting married in Hawaii at the end of this year and my foster family already indicated that they will not be attending the wedding ceremony due to the cost (we will hold a reception here in town once we return and they will attend it).

How should I word an invitation for them and the rest of my relatives who are not attending? I don't want to insult them by saying that my fiance and I are "announcing" our marriage (that would be an announcement rather than an invitation) but I also don't want to say that we "request the honor of your presence" because then they may feel badly for not being able to attend... Please help!

I've been a little on the curious side with this one. I am engaged to my fiance but he lives in another country, and he asked me to be his wife while visiting him one time but had no ring (he said he wanted to get one but has no means to do so right now- and I don't even want the engagement ring but if he happens to eventually get me one that's fine, I just love him and want to be his wife)
So while we're apart I feel strange being engaged with no ring... when I'm at work or out with friends I get people hitting on me or trying to "hook me up" with other guys and when I tell them I'm engaged to be married or spoken for/promised w/e u name it I say it, they just look at me and say 'where's your ring?' ... it's annoying
So, I went out and bought a fake cz ring to wear so that I atleast appear taken...
Anyone else do this before? I love him so much and I don't even want a ring, I just have this one until he gets his visa then we can get married..

My father has the most money and will be paying for the wedding. He lives 500 miles away and I only see him every few years. My step dad doesn't have much money but he is always there for me day or night in person, on the phone, or by email without question. I thought about asking him to perform the ceremony but my fiance is Catholic and we have to have a priest to be recognized by the Catholic Church. What can I ask my step dad to do?

I was told about $100 with a card. Is it ok to put cash in the card? Do you bring it to the reception or wedding?

i'm starting to plan a wedding for next year, but my fiance doesn't want his mother there. she lives on the several states away, and i've never met her.
he told me that she had some emotional problems, cheated on his father, and then met a man on the internet and abandoned them when he was 14, he's only seen her once since then than hasn't talked to her since christmas (she calls, but he doesn't answer). he said that she didn't show up to his sister's weddings, but that was because she was out of the country for one, and she was in a car wreck for the other. he doesn't think she'd show up, but he doesn't even want to invite her for fear that she will show up and start drama.
so which do you think will result in more problems, not inviting her, and her finding out we're married a few months down the road, or inviting her and having her make him miserable?

We got married abroad and invited all the relatives and said if you want to attend and can afford it then please do!!! As long as we were both there and our parents we did not really care who else attended!!
His sister did attend but her mother paid for the ticket. The sister and her other half did not buy us a wedding present. They are getting married in August and they sent an inviatation with a wedding present list - do you think we should but them a present?

Been living together for 4 yrs. Since about our 2nd year, we've been talking about getting married. Not "if" but "when" we get married. Although we both have decent jobs, he's reluctant to spend his savings on a ring when there are more practical things to spend money on (like a house, but I won't buy until we are married or at least engaged).

So my mom gave us her engagement ring and wedding band from my dad (they're divorced) to help us save money (re-setting her diamonds will save a lot of $$) That was 2 or 3 yrs ago. We've been to several jewelry stores. He knows what I'd like. We went to Florida when I turned 30 last year. I thought the proposal was going to come. Nothing. Last summer he asked when I'd like to get married. I said "next fall" (meaning fall, 2007). Still nothing. Every vacation we take, every holiday, I hope it comes, but no. He doesn't want me to propose. He doesn't want to set a date either. I'm getting resentful. I love him but I want to plan my life already!

I am getting married in October and I choose to have white gold for my engagement ring. Now we are going to choose the wedding bands. My band obviously is going to be white gold and he wants to wear yellow gold. Is this proper for a traditional wedding?

I am not talking monetary but thoughtless. We received a gift certificate for a free haircut from the person's own beauty salon which was an hour plus from where we live. What was more thoughtless was he didn't show up, my wife considered this person family. He was the son of her mother's long term boyfriend who passed away. I guess I am more insulted he did not come, because he meant a lot to my wife who is an only child. I heard him call my wife family.
