Hello,
I was hoping that someone could help me think of a Mother Daughter song that i could play at my wedding next month...I am looking for something meaningful....My parents are divorced and my mom has played both roles and I would love to dedicate a song to her on my special day.

I second the Carole King duet with her daughter "Where you Lead"(referenced above as I will follow) Its the theme song to the Gilmore Girls, but so amazingly awesome. I sing it with my daughters (they are 2 and 5) and I look forward to their wedding days so I can dedicate the song to them both. Its a truely wonderful mother and daughter song.

Wanting you tha way I do
I only want to be with you
And I would go to the ends of the earth
Cause, darling, to me that's you're worth

Where you lead, I will follow
Anywhere that you tell me to
If you need, you need me to be with you
I will follow where you lead

If you're out on the road
Feeling lonely, and so cold
All you have to do is call my name
And I'll be there in the next train

Where you lead, I will follow
Anywhere that you tell me to
If you need, you need me to be with you
I will follow where you lead

I always wanted a real home with flowers on the window sill
But if you want to live in New York city, honey, you know I will
I never thought I could get satisfaction from just one man
But if anyone can keep me happy, you're the one who can

And where you lead, I will follow
Anywhere that you tell me to
If you need, you need me to be with you
I will follow where you lead

Well i"m only 13 but when I was 3 or 4 I told my mom that at my wedding there was going to be a mother / daughter dance and a father daughter dance . At my wedding my mother and myself are going to dance to "I Hope you dance". I had the book when I was younger and to this day at 13 years old that is still my favorite book. My mom is a earth friendly tree hugger and I am a fashionista so we are two totally different people but we still meet eye to eye on everything so yeah you could say she is my best friend (We still have our mother daughter fights but it would not be a healthy relationship without them). and I know you don't want a father daughter dance but at my wedding my song of choice is "Isn't she lovely" . My dad is a tattoo artist & owns a tattoo shop in our little town & I think a more upbeat song would work best so "Isn't she lovely" is perfect ! Wish you & your significant other luck! Hope I helped
