My best friend asked me to be her maid of honor. She has always been there for me through some of my worst times. I want to do something special for her. Any ideas on what I can do? She called me today because certain members of her family do not like her colors. I had to explain to her that it is her day. She is a people pleaser.

I have 2 questions:

1. What do you think of the name Audrey Mae, or Audra Mae? Do you have any other ideas for little girls?

2. My wedding is in Aug of 2008, but Im planning now! Any ideas for do it yourself wedding flowers, or favor ideas? I want to have a very elegant wedding, but I want to keep it cheap (as in cost). Ideas?

Getting married in a few weeks. Have gifts for the girls, his and mine, need a gift for the boy. Thinking about a ID bracelet . Putting the little ones gift on bears. I would like them to have it for a while. The girls are getting rings, for my 5yr old I am putting it on a chain and around a bride teddy bear. for the boy all I can think of is a ID bracelet, put it on a groom teddy bear. I want them to have it forever, and I know if we just gave it to them they would loose them. HELP

If I was getting married, I think I'd be pretty fair with the bridesmaids and matron of honor. I'd say "as long as your dresses are the same shade/color and whatnot, wear your hair either up or down or with curls/styles, nails can have color or not, etc." Some brides strictly have it set in stone that so and so cannot wear this or that. Not me. How would you be?

Anyway he has been the only one i have been sexually active with. No one knows but i have never had an orgasm. I don't know if thats normall or if maybe i'm doing something wrong. I just want to kno that thats normall and that i don't have to get an orgasm and its ok. Does every women get one? Or are there some like me that don't ? Please help and tell me what could it be. My fiance and I have been engaged since February 23. In March, we went to a wedding chapel to have our wedding priced. It ended up being almost $2800. A lot of that stuff could be taken off cause I don't have to have it. Since at the time I thought my parents were going to pay (it is tradition afterall), we discussed it with them. My mother said it was too much money to spend and tried talking us into having it at a church they had only been going to for a month or two. She said they would pay for the catering if we did it that way (their way).

My fiance knew I didn't want it that way. He also was all for doing the chapel thing since all the planning was taken care of. I didn't want to have it at their church. I'd never even been there. He started working more hours to help pay for it. Then my mom said to tell him not to, that it was their place.

Since then, every idea we've come up with has been shot down for whatever reason. My mom is aggrivated that we keep changing it.

I don't know why, but they've always seemed tacky to me.

Be grateful for what you get...is this a wedding or Christmas?

I'm getting married Sunday, and although I can't wait to marry my guy and be with him forever, I am simply dreading the ceremony. I just want to get it over with! I feel like most of it is because I DO NOT want people to see me cry. I've always been like this about everything, and I don't think it's going to change.

Anyone have any ideas for me to avoid crying? Ugh!! We're getting married in Vegas, so it's actually just going to be mine and his parents, along with my sister and her boyfriend.

I'm invited to a friend's engagement party. I sent an engagement card when they first became engaged (they've been engaged since December).
Is it necessary for me to bring a gift to the engagement party? If so, what is appropriate? The couple is registered already, but seems too early for registery items. The wedding isn't until June 08.
TIA

ok, some i'm getting married next june, and i'm wanting some ideas for our reception.
we want to have a normal(esque) wedding and a really goofy, off the wall reception. we're not big on fancy stuff and impressing people with matching table decorations and $800 cakes like some people i know, and a few months ago we started joking around about getting a ball pit and a bounce around, and having some friends dress up in bear costumes and serve food.....well now we're kinda really wanting to do it...serioulsy. we think it would be hilarious and fun for everyone. it would also really reflect our personalities (he's a drummer, i'm an artist)
so anyway, we need some ideas to go along with our reception (decorations, food, location, etc)
i'd prefer people not to just answer out of meaness either, but to the people that are being genuinely helpful, THANK YOU!!!

I think my father is probably expecting to give me away although we haven't discussed it. I'm not very close to him and we have sure had our differences in the past few years. Not to mention I am almost 25 and have lived out from under his roof since I turned 18. My son is 2 1/2 and I just think it would be adorable to have him walk me down the aisle. He has really been the only man in my life up until now. I am just looking for opinions because I really don't want to upset my dad or him to be hurt if I choose to have my son walk me down and "give me away".

Okay....here's what I have:

Invitation
RSVP card
RSVP return envelope
directions card
information card (informing its an outdoor event regarding attire for comfort...)

I printed these myself using a store bought kit, it did not come w/inner envelopes or liners...so I'm not using those.
Do I place the rsvp card into its return envelope?
Does all the 'extras' get placed under the invite?
And when placing ALL into the outter mailing envelope, does it face the 'address' side or the 'seal' side?

Why does this have to be SOOOOO "EXACT"? It's all very annoying! LOL!
THANKS!

We are having to postpone our wedding due to a death in the family. Our wedding invitations are made, but have not been sent out yet. I am wondering if I need to get new ones made with the new wedding date, or can we just 'white out' the ONE line that reads the new date??

I am going to try it on one-- the background on the invitation is white so it shoudn't be off too badly by using 'white out' pen strips- or is that being too desperate and cheap??

Me and my fiance became very close when he was married to his first wife but did not have sex while he was still with her. He left her 2 years ago, they're now divorced and we are getting married. It It was quite an acrimnious divorce as she knew he was leaving her for me but it has got better over time and we now speak civilly about things such as childcare for his two small children who we have every other weekend. She was especially gracious when my h2b told her that we were getting married (I DID NOT want one of the kids telling her!) wished us luck. The kids are in the wedding and my question is really, should we invite her? She's 10 yrs older than me and has been so adult and civilsed for so long now when she could have been a total ***** to me (I realise it's a total cliche that he left her when I'm so much younger and was his PA!!) . We're not best friends or anything, and she probably wouldn't even want to come but should I invite her?

I am getting married in November. My fiance and I recently had a baby girl who is 4 months old. I'd like her to be a part of the wedding ceremony, but I don't know how to go about it. Does anyone know the best way to include her? Do you know where I can find suggestions for the wording in the ceremony?
