I was invited to a bridal shower, and in the invitation is the store where the couple is listed for the WEDDING registry. Does this mean I get the bridal shower gift from this registry, or is it acceptable to come up with a gift on my own? I much prefer to choose gifts myself rather than buy kitchen utensils from a registry! Thanks for reading.

We need to buy a number of 3x6 white candles for our wedding. We are looking to save some money on this by not paying the typical retail cost. If anyone knows of a good site to get these candles cheap we would really appreciate it!

I have been working in UK for past 10 yrs which is a free society. I have been masturbating since school days. I don't know how I got into this bad habit. But I cann't leave it now. If I ignore it, I get nasty dreams & nightfalls which is quite embarrsing. Otherwise I get turned on quite frequently and mind keeps revolving around the same. I am getting married to a traditional girl and I don't know what will be her reaction if she discovers me doing that. I am sure it'll not be possible to hide things when you are so close & may be I'll not be able to get over this after marriage also. I want to understand if it is comman practise amongst all girls irrespective of society or if girls are ok with boys doing it. I think it'll be easy for me to handle my 'would be' wife if I know this. Pls let me know if you come from society which is free in nature or from a conservative society. This can help me understand the way different types girls look at this issue.

I am getting married next year and my maid of honour has decided to bring all her people to my wedding, bearing in mind I have to pay for food and the rental of the room.

Basically, she is bringing people who I do not know and they are some black artists who will preform some bashment music.. I dont want it kicking off at my wedding

I personally think she is using my day to promote her group.

What do you think of this?

It is a very pretty instrumental version by Andre Rieu. Here it is:

My fiance and I have been going through song after song and this is the only one we both like. We don't want to walk down the aisle to a vocal or something really traditional.

Thoughts?

hopefully this is a close to feeling "bridezilla" as I'll get....lucky you- I choose to vent here :+/

the reception venue has to change ( long story short....was going to be in my backyard- lots of room, etc...but my neighborhood association doesn't allow parties of more than 50) and I just found this out (my own fault- but I had no idea)

I'm a bit overwhelmed...

I want an outdoor reception...I know (and plan) to check my local parks for availability...but decorations??? food??? can I still get the classy feel if my guests are sitting at picnic tables??

I feel like such a brat, but its very upsetting...

I'm usually much better with strife than this!

One of my bridesmaids had two children. On the wedding invitation I sent it to my bridesmaid and "guest" along with her oldest child. When i received the response card back she had added her youngest child's name to the response card, mind you the child is two and out of control. I told my bridesmaid my reasoning for not having small children at the wedding. Quite frankly I don't want screaming kids in the background as a I recite my vows etc... Kids are so unpredictable. Of course I explained it nicer than that. My girlfriend complied, but then brough both children to the formal reception. I am happy to report no disasters and there are no hard feelings. I am just having trouble understanding why she felt compelled to do this and really believes babies should attend weddings....

There are simply no small children under the age of 11 in our families that could be the flower girl and ring bearer in our wedding. What happens with the rings if this is the case? Does the best man carry the ring pillow? Does the maid of honor do something? I have no idea what to do!

I don't want to marry some one that's not right for me how ever I don't want to be with some one who doesn't want marriage at all.
again, I only want to date men with intention of marriage in case I fall in love.. give me some ideas and instructions on how a single women should go by..

We're putting out blank thank you cards so our guests can write tys to troops overseas (husbands in the military, and our wedding is a 1940s USO theme) and the favors will be the pens. What do you engrave on them? Just our names and wedding date? We can have 3 lines of text. Any ideas appreciated.

I've been told that you have to go to court to a hearing for a judge's approval to get married. But if I get married by a ship's captain or officiant, am I still required to go to court first? Would I need to bring a written judge's approval to the ceremony for the captain or officant to sign? Any other geographically appropriate pieces of information or links are appreciated. Thanks for your help!

i've invited to my coworker's wedding. i'm planning to bring a guest too. since no rsvp is required, i suspect that it would be a reception with finger foods (no formal dinner). how much of a wedding gift i should get in the fact that i'm bringing a guest with me?

Okay so first of all I'm not getting married (yet)... that's probably 2 or 3 years away due to our financial situation... but I had a question.

The other day I was watching a show about a couple's wedding, and there were 3 bridesmaids. The bridesmaids were wearing different colored dresses... one was lilac, one was pale pink, and one was pale blue. I thought it looked really pretty when they were all lined up. I've never thought about the bridesmaids wearing different colors, but it actually looked really nice in my opinion. What do you think?

I was also thinking, wouldn't it be pretty (this is based on if you had 3 bridesmaids/2 bridesmaids and 1 maid of honor/etc.) if the maid of honor wore a dark color (say pink for example), then the bridesmaid next to her wore a medium pink, then the last one wore a light pink. I thought that would look really pretty, what do you think?

She has changed her colors at least three times, made the bridemaids changes dresses because she "has a visioin" of how she wants things to be and is already married to the loser, just renewing her vows. Should I tell her I'm just not feeling this whole thing anymore or suck it all up, spend my money on the hideous dress (which will probably change again) and just smile for the cameras?

I wasted 5 points on this question so please make the answers good ones
