I would say just look at a ton of different samples or else you might not get the full effect. If you want a light pink then pick out a light blue...
Play with the color wheel to get ideas of shades..
Good Luck!

If you like warmer shades of pink, how about a pool blue (similar to the "answer this question" button in Yahoo Answers)? That would a bright and fun combination.
I would stay away from navy blue, midnight blue. Personally, I dont think baby blue and baby pink is good for a wedding.

Of course it is obvious that pastel colors compliment each other well. So as previously mentioned: baby blue and pink. BUT here are some other ideas dependant on the season of your wedding:
Navy Blue & Rose Pink (fall/winter)
Teal & hot pink (spring/summer)
Royal Blue w/ any shade of pink
Things to remember: If you are using pink flowers then pink shoudl be your accent color and the dresses should be in blue. Maybe a blue with pink sash or accessories.
The darker the color the more for the colder months. The brighter the more for the summer months.

I would steer clear of baby blue and baby pink because I've seen that done at a wedding and it kind of looked like a baby shower. Maybe a cornflower and peachy pink with chocolate brown as an accent color? Those combos are pretty popular so it would be easy to find accesories.

I would steer clear of "baby" or light pink and light blue, it may look like a baby shower. Instead a more sophisticated combo would be a navy blue and a lighter brighter pink. It's very "new england north shore". The Knot did this scheme in one of their magazines, it was their color issue. Check it out.

I'd steer clear of the pastels...I agree that it would look too much like a baby shower.
I like the combination of a watery blue, such as you'd find at the pool or a tropical beach, with a nice coral. I also like teal and fuschia as a combo, if you're up for something bold.
Go look at the paint store. You can bring home the chips for your fiance to look at, too.

I'd stay away from both colors as being pastel - it's kind of baby shower-ish.
You could do a navy blue and a rose color, or even a hot pink, if you're brave (I'm thinking a navy gown with a bright pink sash). Or even navy and a pastel pink. (Navy gown, pink roses, silver accent - pretty!)

how about a dusty rose coupled with a periwinkle blue?
it would be very pretty and not quite so babyish as pink and blue as we normall think of them.
if you would prefer a bright pink, then couple it with a slate blue and see what you think.
one of the other answers here stole my thunder - i always advise brides to head to the paint store and pick up color chips. you will find a hundred different pinks and twice as many blues to choose from.
good luck with your wedding and have a long and happy life together!

go to a fabric store and start looking. maybe take your fiance and have him find a shade of blue he likes and u find a shade of pink. see how they look together and go from there with adjusting colors. when i got married i knew i wanted blue-when the dress i had picked turned out to be almost c-thru on the bottom and lots of $ i decided to have them made and go with a "blue rainbow". i found the colors and material on my first trip to JoAnn etc. i had 4 shades of blue. b/c navy is my fave i used it in decorations etc. 8 bm's-2 in ea. shade and 2 jr. bm's in navy. all the guys had navy vests b/c we couldn't find the same style in all the colors.
good luck and congrats.

I would go with a slate blue and a rose or dusty pink. Cream and Silver are great compliments to this color scheme. Avoid pastel blue or pink, it will look like a baby shower color scheme.
