Fall is a great time for a wedding, and you can use a lot of natural elements for your decorations. A mix of fall colors (browns, golds, reds, oranges) for your flowers and edible elements such as red and green apples, hollow pumpkins instead of the galvanized buckets to hold the arrangements...Fall branches and leaf designs for added interest...you could do maple sugar bottles for your favors, or jugs of cider. Lots of options! Good luck!

the bucket sounds like a perfect idea! You can get those at big lots or at the gardening center of walmart, kmart, meijer, or perhaps a dollar store. You can use real flowers that come in dirt, and transfer them to the buckets. you will probably need a bag of potting soil.
Call your local garden center or grocery and see what will be in season and blooming at the time of your wedding - and that they will have enough of for you. they can order more for you if you ask. depending on when the wedding is in the fall, I am thinking mums and marigolds are in bloom. if nothing suits your color theme, then of course, go for artificial flowers.
you can put a styrofoam piece in the bottom to stick the flowers in place and then add some sparkly shredded stuff, you find that in the gift wrap aisle. or stuff some tulle in there.

I really love the look of galvanized buckets, yes, you should do this.
I saw once where they put apples in the buckets instead of flowers, it was very appropriate for a fall wedding. Just a thought.

You could probably get buckets at the Dollar Store, keep checking there.

As for flowers, you could get fake flowers but a better option would be to buy in bulk from a floral wholesaler or have your local florist order them for you and then arrnage them yourself or have someone in your family/friends do it.

We did our own for my brother's July wedding in painted buckets and it was so cute and really inexpensive!

Good luck!

that idea is really cute, or you can use different colored apples to fill the buckets. pumpkins are cute, too. branches in a tall vase instead of flowers is inexpensive and creative. fall is such a beautiful time of year to decorate. wreaths with fall colored leaves could decorate the base of a hurricane lamp with a pillar candle inside. hope this helped!

An inexpensive way to make a big impact is to incorporate mini pumpkins. They will add color, look cute, be relevant to the season and people could take them home at the end of the night.

mums and fall leaves, maybe a few fall roses in the bucket would be great.
