There are simply no small children under the age of 11 in our families that could be the flower girl and ring bearer in our wedding. What happens with the rings if this is the case? Does the best man carry the ring pillow? Does the maid of honor do something? I have no idea what to do!

No ring pillow. The best man holds on to the bride's ring. The maid of honor holds on to the groom's and whips them out at the appropriate time of the ceremony.

The answers are correct. Either the best man carries both or the best man wears the bride's ring on his pinky & the MoH carries the groom's on whichever finger it fits best.

Even when there are children who would want to trust their rings to a child??? But people do. I just did a wedding where the ring bearer was an 8 month old baby. The maid had to carry her flowers, the baby, the pillow WITH the real rings....her hands were tooooo full!

It's better if they are carried this way rather than in a pocket or ring pouch; less chance of dropped rings this way.

Use no lotions either. And don't be concerned if the rings don't fit. You didn't gain weight. Fingers swell when you're nervous so slide the ring only to the knuckle & let the person themselves slide the ring on.

Most times each ring is handed to the minister together or separately & he gives it to the bride or groom.

even in weddings that have ring bearers...they usually don't actually carry the ring, so don't worry!
the best man puts the brides in his pocket, and the maid of honor will hold the groom's ring.
I've also just seen weddings where the best man will hold both rings, and even one where the rings were placed up on the table at the end of the aisle (with the unity candle or communion elements, depending on the ceremony) before hand.

good luck and congrats!

The best man holds your ring and the maid of honor hold his ring and when the pastor, priest, officiant. ect.... ask for the rings, they hand them over.

The ring bear and flower girls never really have the actual rings. they always have little fake rings or just the pillow. So if you do decide to have flower girl/ring bear. never give them the real rings.

the kids are just there to look cute. i know this because i lost the real ring when i was a flower girl 20 years ago and my parents had to pay to replace the rings. Thank god back in the days the couple only paid 80 dollars a piece for the rings. i think they may have changed the rule of not putting the real rings on the pillow because of me.LOL,

You can choose to have the bm, moh, special family member, friend or parent carry the rings in any manner that is indicative of the theme of the wedding or you can simply give them to the officiate to hold and bless prior to the ring vows or the start of the ceremony. I have done a few weddings where it was just the bride and groom and they had me hold the rings until the appropriate time. Remember, it is your day. Make it creative and special.

It is customary for the Best Man to hold the rings and pass them to the officiant during the ceremony who will then present them to the bride and groom. Even when there are children in the wedding they give them to the Best Man when they get to the front of the aisle. The pillows are only if you have little children in the wedding, without them the Best Man just keeps them in his pocket. No big deal.

The best man will hold the bride's ring and the maid of honor can hold the groom's ring. You could also have the best man be in charge of both rings.

If you wanted to do something different, you could ask someone close to you that isn't in the wedding party to be in charge of them.

If no one has said this already, you give the best man the ring the groom will put on your finger and your maid of honor holds the one you put on the grooms finger. Usually the priest, father, official, whatever will bless the rings, or ask for the rings at sometime. Your rehearsal can help in that matter too. If you are marrying in a church your attendants then place the rings in the bible for the priest to bless them then he lets you and your soon to be husband take them at the appropriate time to place them on your fingers..."With this ring I thee wed..."

Have the best man hold the brides ring and the maid of honor hold the grooms ring and then just ask for them at the right time

Ah, no one ever lets small children have the actual rings anyway. Let best man carry bride's ring in his pocket. Let MOH wear groom's ring on her thumb. It's no big deal.
