It is a very pretty instrumental version by Andre Rieu. Here it is:

My fiance and I have been going through song after song and this is the only one we both like. We don't want to walk down the aisle to a vocal or something really traditional.

Thoughts?

I just want everyone to know we were only going to use the INSTRUMENTAL version by Andre Rieu, not the words. The words are sad, but Andre Rieu's version is very pretty. I have a link to it.

Sorry to be a bummer about this... but didn't Leo sink into the ocean during the playing of that song during the movie?

It would seem like a negative song for me..

Good Luck.

Yes, it is a very nice song for the wedding. Both Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet loved the song too.
I have the dvd from the Netherlands featuring Andre Rieu's hometown Maastricht, and it was nice, although very high=pitched. The town and the people were great, and it shows Andre Rieu's son.
I also have the CD "The Titanic" with Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet on the CD case, and I like the music, although most of it is instrumental, and there aren't many lyrics.

It is a very good choice for the wedding.

Although this is a very beautiful song, however it is a VERY sad song because it represents the LOSS of someone that is loved. Here are the lyrics:

- (Love Theme From "Titanic")

Every night in my dreams
I see you. I feel you.
That is how I know you go on.

Far across the distance
And spaces between us
You have come to show you go on.

Near, far, wherever you are
I believe that the heart does go on
Once more you open the door
And you're here in my heart
And my heart will go on and on

Love can touch us one time
And last for a lifetime
And never go till we're one

Love was when I loved you
One true time I hold to
In my life we'll always go on

Near, far, wherever you are
I believe that the heart does go on
Once more you open the door
And you're here in my heart
And my heart will go on and on

There is some love that will not
go away

You're here, there's nothing I fear,
And I know that my heart will go on
We'll stay forever this way
You are safe in my heart
And my heart will go on and on

It's not more than an opinion but from my perspective, that song gives off a sort of negative connation to everyone who has seen it. It's always linked to the dying scene in Titanic. But it's up to you guys so if like it then go for it!
Good luck and congrats on the engagement.

Don't use that, it's about the man dying and the woman living on til her old age. Not a good image for a wedding.
How about The Hawaiian Wedding Song.

Well, the song itself is about a person moving on after the other person abandoned them. It's like the 'love song' from the movie The Bodyguard. It's about a jilted lover who is struggling with her heart.

But, it's pretty, and if you like it, who the heck are we to tell you what to do on your wedding? Go for it if you want. As long as the church or wherever agrees to you using the song, it should be no problem.

If it is a song you both agree to, then you should do what makes you happy. However, just know that it is a song about love and loss.

People often use "Unchained Melody", but it is also a depressing song.

it's your day do what you want.
i would suggest that you stick to the instrumental version to walk to.
or maybe a harp version or solo instrument version

either way i like it and congrats to you both.
i hope you have a great wedding and reception and even better marriage!

I think it is beautiful, but I would play the instrumental version and not the one with someone singing it.

The music is really a breathtaking one but it would remind everyone of the tragic love story of TITANIC.Your's and your fiance's taste is beautiful but not appropriate for the most beautiful occasion in your lives.
