If all else fails, call around to churches in the local area. There's a good chance you'll be able to find a church that would let you borrow their tables and chairs as long as they have them back for Sunday morning service. Some churches may charge, some may not, but you should at least offer to make a contribution to the church since they're helping you out.

If you had a contract with these people, call them and demand to speak with a manager immediately. Tell the manager that he WILL do something to fix this or he will be hearing from your lawyer, the BBB, and the local news. If you don't have a contract, let this be a serious lesson to you that from now on, get everything in writing. Where I'm from, Fire departments have fundraisers and gatherings all the time and will loan out chairs to people for big events. They usually have foldable tables as well. A reasonable donation to the fire department should do the trick. Definitely check with local churches and call anyone else you know to get referrals. Check with local hotels to see if they reccommend any other rental places in the area. There may be one in an adjoining city. Also, your caterer or florist may know of someone they have worked with in the past. If you already gave a deposit to the original company, make sure to get your money back. And if you did get that contract, check the fine print and make sure there is something you can do about this. That's completely unacceptable. If all else fails, try this website:

Yes, call the BBB. The manager of your rental facility should be finding those for you! You have enough stuff to do before your wedding. If they fail to come through (again), try the churches like the others suggested, or even a local Rent-a-Center.

I agree with be_weeeezy05, if you have a written/verbal contract with them, they have to either provide you with the services promised or find replacement items for you.

You could try local churches to see if they would be willing to rent/let you use their tables and chairs and make a donation to the church for payment. I know in Maryland we have Absolute Party (a rental place) and Party City that can either offer to rent to you tables and chairs or give you ideas of who has these items for rent.

If it comes down to it you may need to hit all of your family and friends up to borrow from them.

Good luck!

It's the responsibility of the rental company to find more for you. You had an agreement, and they failed to fulfill their half of the bargain. I would be on the phone, talking to the manager or whoever is in charge there, explaining to them that unless they find you replacement chairs, they can expect to hear from the Better Business Bureau.

You might try calling this place and asking if they know of any places:

Factory Card Outlet (740) 695-9710
50825 Valley Plaza Dr
Saint Clairsville, OH

Another option is to check with local churches, VFWs, community centers to see if they can help you with your desperate situation. Good luck.

Contact your church or your fiances church and see if you can borrow some. Most churches have plenty of tables and chairs. You could make a nice donation to the church for the use of them.

If you have a written contract, they have to provide them to you.If not they can be sued.If there is not any other party place.Call up a few churches. Many churches have tables and chairs for numerous affairs they have all year. A donation to the church should get them for you. It does not hurt to ask!
