Neither of our parents would approve or understand. So it would be up to the judge. We love each other very much, and we know that we are meant to be together anyway. We just want to get married now.

My fiance and I are going to get married soon, but didn't want to have the wedding just yet. We were wondering if it was required to have a wedding to be legally married.

I am getting married next June, 2008. My fiance's brother is who we would like to have marry us. However, he is not ordained. I have heard one might get ordained through the internet, but have no idea where to start or if it's legitimate. I am sure he will need some kind of certificate or license.. then again, I am lost on the entire process. Help!

and a blouse... such as after a formal dinner or after church.
like if you saw a girl go in or being thrown in and watching her clothes get all clingy, would it turn you on? would you want to join her?

On my wedding day... i plan on jumping in a above ground pool after the reception! (but iwth no chlorine, jstu regular water)

And invite all the wedding guests in their fancy clothes.
I would get married on a hot dry day! :)

I think I"m obsessed with getting wet while in my good clothes! Probalby cuz it's so naughty! :) hehe

or how about as they say you may kiss the bride and they kiss.. to release huge amounts of water ovber them so they get soaked up in front of everyone :) HAHAHA!

My mother in law has decided that this is 'her' wedding. In her words: its my son so its MY wedding! (this she yelled at me when I objected to the menu choices)
We are young and paying for it ourselfs, however the reciption is being held on her property. She seems to be making all the decisions. She said that we have to have beans and rice because thats how her 'traditional' mexican family throws a party (they are not traditional though), that it has to be before a certain day so her best friend won't be out of town (I have never met the woman) and that we need it early in the afternoon so that her friends won't have to leave right away to go home and get ready for work the next day (I want it toward sunset, its outside and the daytime is so hot in Texas!).
Not only that but she is so excited she is planing to wear the suit she was married in 12 years ago (ITS RED, BRIGHT RED!)
How do I regain control of My special day without starting a fight that could ruin it completely?

I have my side of the bridal party already picked basically. My main question is, she wants me to ask my sister to be one of her bride's maids in the wedding so is that appropriate for that? or should she pick bridesmaids based on her own friends that she has known for awhile?

My other question is, does the bride pick her part of the bridal party and the groom picks his side of the bridal party? As much as I get along with her brother, she wants him to be one of my groomsmen, but I already have mine picked out?

As we all know 07-07-07 was supposed to be a BIG wedding day, and my question to you is "Was it really that spectacular?"
Did your telephone ring off the hook with inquiries and requests? As a member of the Association of Bridal Consultants and a wedding ceremony officiant I was associated with four different weddings on July 7 (a home wedding at 7AM, a park wedding at 11AM, a 4PM wedding in the garden of a country inn, and a 630PM wedding at a historic railroad station), and none of these weddings were spectacular or lavish. Tell me about your 07-07-07 experiences . . the good, the bad, and the ugly. And have you received any inquiries for 08-08-08?

I am getting married Dec. 28th at 5:00 in the evening. I would really like to have the church lights dimmed and run the lights along the aisle and maybe candles lit in the windows.I am afraid that it would be too dark and people would not be able to see how pretty the dresses are. Has anyone been to a wedding like this before? Please help!!!

My son is getting married. Do I wear any color or style that I want or do I need to somewhat match the color/style of the wedding party? Either is okay, I just don't know what is proper. And what does my husband, the father of the groom wear? A tux that matches? It is a formal evening wedding of about 100 people.

Okay. I absolutely cannot figure out what time of day my wedding will fit into. I am having an outdoor ceremony on june 21st (it will be rather hot here), with a reception to follow. The reception site is about 20 minutes away, and we will be taking photos after the ceremony. For the reception I am serving a large assortment of hor d'oevres, alcohol and cake. Foods will be somewhat heavy and will be served as food stations (thinking about doing each station with a different country theme (mexican, itailian, etc.). I am leaning towards evening to avoid the heat a bit, fiance is leaning towards midmorning. Thoughts?

1.) What day of the week are you usually supposed to get married on?
2.) How far in advance do you have to book the DJ?
3.) When do you send out invitations?
4.) How far in advance do you have to book the place to be wed at?
5.) If I do not belong to a church, how do I get a preist to marry us?
6.) What things should I do first in planning a wedding?

We've been engaged since May of 2006 and just set the date last night...so I don't even know the first thing about planning a wedding and thought I'd start with those questions...thxs so much in advance.

My friend's stepbrother is getting married. He is not close with his own mother, and plans to dance with his stepmother. She and his father have only been married a couple years. Any song suggestions?

I am not usually a spoiled brat although I probably sound like one right now. He can afford a nice ring for sure. The ring is supposed to represent our future, it is 1/10 of a karat. This ring is so small it is embaressing, it is a "chip", a spare cut diamond you use for accents. We have been together for so long I thought he would put more care into making this decision. Is this how our life will be together? Taking the cheap way out for everything? On top of that he didn't really ask me, we were on a rollercoaster and he said look what I have for you.

I am to be matron of honour at my friends wedding. Its her 2nd marriage and she has fallen in love with a beautiful white wedding gown, I personally think it would look better in another colour but she insists white is the thing for her. What do you think?
