200, I know it isn't much but it means to the world to me because it was given to me by my man. I believe that love doesn't have a price on it.

First of all... diamonds are a waste of money. You see them for sale every place you go. When people get a divorce and try to sell them you do not get anything for it. Seriously. The only reason jewelers marketed diamonds like they did was because they wanted to create demand for a stone so they could get good money for it and have plenty of supply. Diamonds are by no means rare. I love jewelry and look at a true Mandarin Garnet. It is a brilliant orange color. You can't go to your local jewelry store and buy it. Most have never even heard of it. Tiffany's was looking at creating a demand for it but did not since not enough supply. Even top quality Tanzanite hard to find. It is a deep blue purple. The local jewelers sell it in a light purple-- junk stone. If you see the other it is probably created. Here is my advice. Look at getting a moissanite ring. There are 19 out of 20 dealers that cannot tell the difference until new tests were created. It literally tests as a diamond. It even can cut glass. It costs much less. You can even get it set in platinum. The best place we found and purchased from was called Leland & Co. you can visit there website at www.amoissanite.com . They sell weighted rings so it is a high quality much nicer then in most stores. My ring was $1800 but it was 2 stones 1 caret each and a center stone was that was 1 1/2 carat. It would have been a $20,000 ring it was diamonds. Nobody can tell the difference and I have had a least a thousand compliments. This company picks the highest quality of stones. Good luck. We used the money we saved to buy a house and go on vacation.

My engagement ring actually cost about $30, because the day my boy went in to buy the ring, the store was having an extravagant sale. I absolutely love it because he actually listened to what I said about jewelry in the past when he chose it. Instead of a diamond, he chose my favorite stone (the emerald), my favorite stone cut (emerald), and setting (tri-set).
The wedding rings that we chose are actually only going to cost $100 apiece, at most, because we decided to shop around, and when I found the ring I really loved, we found out it was only $80.
But, all in all, the cost wasn't a factor in how much I loved the ring. It was that he spent the time to find something that he felt like I would like, that would look good on my finger, that I would feel comfortable wearing. And I really appreciate everything he did for me in that matter. B-)

Who cares about the cost? Really, if you like the ring, and love the man, you shouldn't make an issue of the cost. Not everyone can afford to sell their soul for a ring.

My wedding ring set cost about $500. I love it though. In my opinion it will remind me one day that my husband and I started out with not alot of money. I don't think that I would want a big fancy ring. You never know, it might get lost or caught on something.

I LOVE the engagement ring my husband chose for me - it's a solitaire, with two shoulder stones, in a yellow gold band which is unusual, kind of a 'flat' finish. The matching wedding band has three of the smaller stones. He chose REALLY well and surprized me with it! I think the engagement ring was just under 800, and the wedding band about 400. (found out much later)

Mine was £54 from Ebay, but I really do not see that price is relevant at all, I love my ring, other people probably don't like it, I have seen the expression on their face when they look at it but I do not care, I love my ring, the meaning behind it is so special and that's all that matters. My fiance does not earn a lot of money and I would rather he put the money he has into our home, I don't need expensive trinkets to be assured of his love for me.

Mine cost about $30,000. It's a 2 carat round solitaire with .5 ct channel set band. I love it very much, not because it's expensive, but because he took the time out to buy something that I will wear forever. I doubt I will ever want to get an upgrade because I truly have a very beautiful ring that I love very very much.

Golden's mom said, "the first one was $200 and she loved it because she got to pick it out. The second one was $600 and she liked it, but he picked it out at the marine corps exchange." There has been no third ring yet, but she says she's much happier without the "rings".

My engagement ring was free! It was my MIL's. I absolutely love it! My wedding band is just a plain gold band, I think it cost like $50. I love it too.

My ring was (both wedding and engagement- came together in a set.) $1500. I only know b/c I priced them secretly while having it sized...he he he.... His ring (which I bought) was $600. He likes his and I like mine too. He did a great job in picking mine out. He has a real thoughtful mind for things I like.
