I wanted to know if I could use almond m&m's instead. There is an Italian tradition for five blessings for the new couple with Jordan almonds, but since I don't like them I wanted to know what people thought of the almond m&m idea. And I don't think you can get almond m&m's in your choice of colors. Would almond m&m's work and could I change the poem to read sweet almonds instead of sugared? Or give maybe 6 , the 5 traditional and 1 for substitution. Or something like that. Or would that be too far away from tradition to make sense to do it.

You really don't have to use anything. I'd stay away from those damn "Jordan Jawbreakers" though. I broke a crown to the tune of $1500 on one of those stupid things.

I hate Jordan almonds, but the only reason I used them is because they are an Italian tradition. I hate the things. If I could do it over again I would have went with M&M's or something..lol!

Not that many people really love Jordan almonds. I know because I'm one of those very few.
Yes, giving almond M&Ms is a nice variation on the same theme...and people are far more likely to actually eat them.

It is a tradition and you should have some there, but that doesn't mean you can't have a 5% ratio to some other candy added in. You still carry out the tradition and also have what you like. You will be so busy, you probably won't even get a bite.

I don't when your wedding is but in the spring they have pastel m&ms for easter. Those would look like jordan almonds but taste better. Also, you could try the m&m website and order colored or personilzed candies. Congrats

I think you should use your favorite candy. I don't really know anyone that likes Jordan almonds anyway.

Go online to the m&m website there is a place where you can special order your m&ms in the colors that you want. Sometimes you can even get things put on them not just the normal M&M logo.

It's your wedding you use whatever you want. I've seen anything from Jelly Beans to mint and nut cups. Just keep in mind that the M&Ms could melt if it gets warm.

I used M&M's and Hershey's kisses for my favors. You can use anything you like, from Life Savers to Gummi bears to the soft after dinner mints. It's totally up to you.
