May I suggest you save for the event. Perhaps the both of you can work extra to provide for your costs. Now if you wish your wedding to be some commercial event, you might check with any groups that are going to be running haunted houses for fund raising. You may not get the money you want but will have more publicity.

If you are mature enough to get married, then you are mature enough to pay for your own wedding.

No sponsorship here. Do what you can afford, or forget about it.

Edit:
Most local haunted houses here are done by civic organizations in order to raise money. I don't think they would be willing to rent it out on the busiest night, LOL. Maybe near Halloween, but not on the actual day. Check with your local civic organizations though. Who usually does the haunted houses in your area? Check with them.

Sorry i can't help you, i can't afford my own wedding. But i just thought it was cool that you're getting married on Halloween. My bf and i are planning the same thing someday (whenever we have enough money) because it's not only both our favorite Holiday, but also the day we first officially met,so it has special meaning to us.

wow the whole money thing really touches a nerve when you mention it pertaining to a wedding doesnt it? bet you wished you'd never asked!! not sure how it is over there, but here in scotland there are plenty of places, castles, etc, that are almost in ruin where you can get married, obviously no good for the reception etc, but the actual ceremony itself can be performed there, plenty of places offer a free function suite too, they make their money from the guests buying their drinks from their establishment, i'm sure with a bit of searching you can find somewhere to have your special day, good luck to you

Maybe you should move the wedding back a bit so you have time to save up some money. You are going to end up stressing yourselves out!

all a wedding takes is a couple of rings, and a preacher. surely you can afford that!
if not then don't be getting married, but to ask strangers to sponsor your wedding? that takes gall.

Ummmm....no. Don't spend more than you have, or wait until you have more. We have very little money too, but we're enlisting family and friends to help (my mom decorates cakes and does flower arrangements (insist on doing mine), brother is a hair dresser, etc)
If you can't afford it don't try to get someone else to pay for it...how tacky.

Sorry. I'm currently "sponsoring" my son's wedding.

Unfortunately you aren't supposed to be soliciting through this forum ... you should send out letters to local businesses and try that way.

Getting married at the courthouse doesn't cost much.
