I have a tiffany styled wedding cake with the three square layers, ribbon around each, with a big ribbon on top. I wanted to do some centerpieces similar to that, but I need some ideas. I wanted to incorporate them with floating candle centerpieces, not just by themselves. I have bought all different size boxes and tons of ribbon and wrapping paper, but don't know where to go from there. If someone could give me a visual, I'd appreciate it!

P.S. I want to be different AND still stylish.

I really dont want todance for money at my wedding . Im not all that confident in myself. I only wanna dance with my husband. But my question is How much money do you think the bride and groom normally get in the money dance and idk if its worth it? what do you think?

My fiance calls me names and has punched a hole in the door. with my last husband he was the same way then turned out to be completely out of control after the marriage had taken place. I want my relationship to work but if he doesnt stop im going to leave . Any input?

a close friend of mine parents wedding anniversary is in august 3, and they will turn 50. he has been estranged from them, they live in Fla and he lives in PR. he calls them from time to time. I want to do a meaningful place for both of us. There is a beach that is meaningful to both of us where I think would be nice. Now I was trying to think of something creative instead of just proposing at a beach.

My thoughts were we can go out to dinner and go walking the beach after (timing it right for the sunset). She loves sunsets but what girl doesn't. Im thinking of planting a message in a bottle and stashing it between some rocks by the water. I will stash it ahead of time. Probably have a friend watch over the message/bottle so no one takes it. Maybe take some pics of the special moment hiding out while there. When we walk the beach I can stumble up to it and act like I don't know what it is.

The message will be self-written but anonymous so she still doesn't have any clues. When she says that was really sweet/nice..etc. I will tell her I know who wrote that...she will say who? and I will get down on one knee, take out the ring and propose.

Hows this? Think this will work?

So we thought we wanted a Christmas wedding but we are leaning towards a summer or early fall wedding so it will be nice outside and we can have our wedding pictures outside. Well if we went with a winter wedding the colors would be red. But we are not anymore so Im stuck on colors. The only color I dont like is light pink. Any suggestions?

My best friend's sister is getting married in a couple of weeks. Him and I are known to be the life of the past weddings but the only thing we haven't done besides getting milking on the free bar and dancing on the old women is make a good performance on the wedding video.

We aqre both pretty funny but we are lost on what to do in this video. I'm not sure if anyone has had a memorable moments on the their own video or have viewed any. Any ideas would be appriciated.

I am short so I need something with a high heel, but I want something comfortable. I'm just wondering if the silk is too dressy for outdoors. This style also comes in a satin fabric so maybe that make more sense. What do you think?

Darn it! I let my mom choose the wedding favors because she did a great job with favors for past showers. But now I am having second thoughts.

From reading various posts here, and magazines, etc. I am thinking that her choice may not have been the greatest. She chose these shot glasses http://www.discountmugs.com/usa/glassware-5120-cl-clearshot-glassess.htm

Now I think I'd rather have something like this http://www.favorwarehouse.com/favors/d4157.html and use them as place cards. Then the guests wouldn't have something with our names plastered all over them, they are actually equally priced (maybe actually LESS expensive, and I think more elegant - and functional.

I don't need to hear about how favors are required, waste of money or anything else along those lines. That is not the point, nor is it relevant here.

I don't think I want to hurt mom's feelings and tell her I am having second thoughts about the favors (it might be too late anyways)

Am I the only bride out there that doesn't feel the urge to slap my monogram on everything that can possibly associated with my wedding? I'm excited for my new last name and everything but at the same time I'm not an idiot...I know what it is, so do my guests.

I would much rather not personalize them and resell it after the wedding and buy great things for our house or something.

So my bf just recently proposed, and we've set our wedding date for next June...I know it's waaaay too early to send out actual invitations, but should we send something out to our family and friends announcing our engagement and the planned date? Fall 2008 will mark 3 years my husband and I have been married. We got married in 2005 and due to Hurricane Katrina had to settle for a justice of the peace type ceremony. Since our anniversary date is set on a Saturday of 2008 I thought it'll be special to through an anniversary party for ourselves since neither of our families could attend the actual ceremony.

My question is, does anyone have any ideas as to how it should be? for instance, we don't want to have a big wedding or anything but was thinking of just having a nice reception party OR my husband was thinking of having a bbq. We're just pretty much confused and need help.

Jenn and Josh are getting married in Santa Barbara - I am sending rehearsal wedding invites on beach scene stationery - blue sky, water, sand, palm tree and a littlle red crab - could only find pacific coast lighthouse stamps in keeping to the theme.
