What should I get for a couple who just got engaged? I have been invited to the engagement party but don't know the bride very well. She's extremely nice and I'm honored to be invited but I have no idea what to get them. I was thinking maybe a set of champagne flutes? I don't know?

I don't want to spend more than $50. I would like it to be nice (preferably from Tiffany or something like that) because they are well-heeled.

Suggestions would be helpful.

I have seen at least only one question on this website in which someone had asked a similar question about this, but I do remember some people on here saying that you can give those two kind of rings as engagement rings. Yes, I know about the purpose of an eternity ring, but I just need reassurance about what I'm asking here. It would be just absolutely terrible to get the wrong ring for the wrong reason. >_<

I am making my own wedding invitations and I was just curious of how to make the background image softer or lighter or whatever so that the words will not be able to be seen! If anybody has any ideas please let me know!

Is it OK for a bride to show her breast at the wedding? Not by accident but because she is open minded?

My sister got married on Saturday and the day was lovely. But it was like she was performing a show just going through the motions. Walk down the aisle, stand in the receiving line, cut the cake, dance the first dance, dance with her father, throw the bouquet, leave. She barely even got to speak to anyone because she was constantly ushered to the next thing to do. Even I as the maid of honor didn't get to spend too much time relaxing becuase I was busy running around with her.

I am getting married in 3 months and want to make sure that we truly enjoy the moment. I don't want all of that structure. Any tips? Did you feel like this on your wedding day?

How long before the wedding date should we ask a pastor to marry us? We live in a small town and I insist on it being a pastor/preacher/etc as opposed to a legal someone (hope that makes sense).
We do not belong to a church, but have 2 potential men we may ask. The wedding isin't until 6/21/08 and I wasn't sure how long is customary notice.

I am flat chested and I hate it. I hate wearing dresses because of it. I surely do not want to stand before an entire church looking crazy. I was looking for some skin toned silicon breast pads that I can use to make my breast appear bigger. I want to fill out my bridesmaid dress. I was just wondering if anybody knew a place I can get them from and how much they cost.

Alright so I was watching TV and there was a show on about young adults ( around 18-25) getting married. What do ya'll think about getting married young? I feel bad for a lot of the couples because they get so much crap from other people. Do you think it's possible for a marriage to last? Should people wait until they are older to get married?

I was raised catholic but haven't been actively practicing the religion in my adult years, my fiance is not catholic either. But ever since I was a little girl I have dreamed of getting married in this HUGE cathedral in the downtown area of my city.

Can we get married there if neither of us are "Catholic"? (meaning I am but, I don't consider myself being, really)

Also, do you pay a church to get married there? Like make a donation, etc? If so, how much is acceptable?

I am getting married in less than two weeks and today my grooms mom called and said she wants him (the grrom) to seat her at the wedding (ie walk HIM down the aisle).
Isn't this silly and tacky?
Has anyone ever heard of this?
I am way against it! What should I do?

My daughter however, wants to have the father/daughter dance with her dad. Any ideas on how to honor the mother/son without dancing? I don't want them to feel left out....but I don't want my daughter to miss the dance with her dad! Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!!!

About a year ago, my boyfriend and I got engaged; we immediately set the date for late October 2007. The night that we announced our engagement to our parents, I excitedly called many of my friends to tell them the good news. Along the way, I mentioned to a few of my closer girl friends that I wanted them to be bridesmaids, including a girl I've been okay friends with for a few years. In the year since then, we've hardly spoken to her at all...or rather, she's hardly spoken to us. If I call her, she only talks for a few minutes, and never calls me back; if I comment her on MySpace or Facebook she doesn't respond;and all in all, we've grown apart immensely. At the same time,my sister and I,who were never very close before, have gotten very close and talk very often. I would really like to replace the mutual friend with my sister, but I don't know if there's any tactful way to handle the situation other than just accepting it. Am I stuck with this fair-weather friend as a bridesmaid?

Anyone know of some good cheap websites for invitations, decorations, pillow, and stuff in the cowboy theme? I have seen quite a few but was hoping maybe someone could come up with something I over looked. I have seen invitation by dawn and quite a few more but any help would be greatly appreciated.
