Traditionally the wedding rings are worn on the left hand and the reason is that hand is closer to the heart. They also say that the vein in the ring finger travels directly to the heart.
Although in some other countries they do wear the wedding ring on the right as well, so I guess it depends on where you live.

Both men and women should wear their engagement and wedding ring on left hand (the ring finger which is next to the pinkie).

wedding bands always go on the left ring finger. if you are missing that finger wear it on your right hand or another finger on your left hand. or around your neck.
