On this talk show radio station, this woman has made a career out of ruining weddings. She said first did it when she ruined her ex boyfriend's wedding by stopping the ceremony and telling the bride that he is cheating her. From then on her girlfriends asked for her services for ruining their ex's wedding or best friends wedding for various reasons. This woman has now made a career out of doing this. She explained that all she has to do is buy a good costume and have a getaway driver. When asked about why she choose this career she said it was to save women from making a life long mistake. There was alot of angry callers saying that she was psycho. She simply rebuffed their remarks and said she was proud of the number of weddings she has ruined.

(I'm the bride) I HATE taking pictures and I have my whole life (hate being the center of attention). I am paying for a pro photographer and have the pro take a few pictures with my soon-to-be husband and our children and just be happy. At the reception the photographer will take a few pictures of everyone, except me. I'm not handing out any pictures with me in them, just pictures with the kids and my fiance. How do I add no cameras of any kind allowed?? Or should I just call everyone and let them know? All my family knows I don't take pictures and so does my fiance. But because this is a wedding, i know people will think they should take pictures. Thanx

I am an american (22 years old), who wants to marry a Colombian guy (24 y/o). I was wondering in what state(s) of the US, same-sex/gay marriage is accepted/valid ?
What should I do, so that after marrying him in another country, he can come along with me to the US and settle down here or in Canada.

If you can provide me with websites, I would really appreciate it!

My fiancé and I are paying for our wedding out selves (approximately $20,000) with little or no help form our parents. Besides the obvious (save, do it small etc.), I am wondering how other couples have paid for their own wedding? Do you put it on the charge card? Tap the 401K? Refinance the house? Also why did you choose to pay for things in that way?

I have looked and nothing gives realistic ideas for fanatically independent people. I am not looking for answers like just don't spend a much, save for it, cut back on the guest list or ask Mommy and Daddy.

As of now we have about 150 on the guest list. 80 of which are people that he was friends with long ago or were fraternity brothers.. and these people live in different parts of the country. 70 people are our close friends and family (20 his 50 mine-he doesnt have aunts/uncles/cousins).

How do I make this fair for both of us at a reasonable price?

My boyfriend wants 2 kegs of beer, but I don't like beer, so we're also planning to have a bar with a choice of a few different mixed drinks, complete with a bartender.

I like Tequila Sunrise and Sloe Screws, so those are already on the list, but I'd like to have about 10 options. I'm not a big drinker, so I don't know many drinks. If you were choosing the mixed drinks, which ones would you choose?

Also, I've never used a keg before. How many people would one keg serve? Or I guess the more appropriate question would be how many cups will one keg fill?

I have nooo idea where to even start with this.

If you get married outdoors, say in a public park area, do you need a permit? If so, how do you get one and how much do they generally cost? (I live in Omaha, Nebraska if that helps at all) I have no idea where to start on this one...

Is it a bad idea to have an outdoor wedding with like 90 people attending?

My boyfriend and I are young we are both 17 almost 18. We have been dating for 4 years, and haven't really fought at all. We are both secure in our relationship and often talk about marriage. I think we are both ready for the next step, but our parents are more than likely completely against it. I know mine are for sure and his are more than likely. We don't want to get married until we are done with school, but we would love to be engaged. We both feel that having that commitment is a huge step for both of us and we are ready, but our parents are the issue...I guess I just need advice...

I mean, if Santa Claus decides that you haven't been a good boy or a good girl this year, you can't go to your friend or reletives wedding if it's at a Mormon Temple. You can't get in unless you are a baptized Mormon with a temple recommend for not commiting certain sins. Even drinking coffee/soda can disqualify you from the wedding even if you were baptized. If your family members aren't Mormons, they can't attend. They can however, go to your reception, but that's it.

I want to propose. My boyfriend says if we get engaged, we should get married within a year or so after getting engaged. I don't want to get married that soon (we need to save money and I don't want the planning to be rushed while we are finishing up grad school), but I have a special proposal and for it to work I need to propose soon.

Is he right? Is it awkward to be engaged for too long? It would be like 3 years from when we got engaged to when we got married. I know people who have had to have long engagements because of being in the military and whatnot, but how long is too long for an average couple? Are there ways to make it less weird? Like should I propose and then just not tell anyone until later?
