I like the ones that are long sleeve with a back that's cut all the way to the top of the butt. Picture Hilary Swank's blue oscar dress.

(You could always wax/shave your arms, also.)

Look for dresses with bolero jackets over them. That way your arms will be covered and you'll still look totally elegant. You can also consider throws, shawls and other accessories that will cover your arms either partially or completely. Really long opera-length gloves may also be a good option for you.

When it's all said and done though, if you want something strapless or skin-baring, I wouldn't worry about your arms. I'm sure no one else will notice. Or you can consider waxing them, but if you do that, do a test run a couple of months in advance so you can see how it turns out, if you have a reaction or not, how long it lasts, and how it looks when it starts to grow back.

Browse online at davidsbridal.com. Many of their dresses have a sleev options. I am sure you will find one that you like.

Also you may want to consult an esthetician if you are that self conscious, and inquire about bleaching, waxing or electrolysis. I would not attempt to do it yourself, but it may be a way to pamper yourself before the wedding an honeymoon. My grandmother always said it takes pains to be beautiful, she didn't know the half of it!

I am sure whatever you choose will be gorgeous!

If you're self-conscious about your arms being hairy, why don't you just shave them? Many women do because they feel the same way you do. And quite frankly, as a woman who shaves her arms, I think it looks a lot better than having hairy ones.

If you go to a bridal salon, you can have the seamstress make illusion lace sleeves or fine chiffon sleeves on most any gown you choose. If you select a strapless gown, they will make sleeves for you so don't worry about it. Go on line and try to find gowns that have illusion lace sleeves or fine chiffon. Do a search:

bridal gowns with long lace sleeves\

I am sure you won't have any trouble finding a gown. Like I said, they can put sleeves on most any dress you select.

You may have to look really hard these days, but you can find gowns with sleeves! I looked at the modest... site Breezer gave, and some of those are really pretty dresses!
I had a traditional gown with long sleeves, which was really beautiful!
Happy hunting!

I know they're scarce right now what with the reign of the ubiquitous strapless wedding gown, but there are designers that still do sleeves. Try these sites:

They cater to women marrying in Mormon temples, but will sell to anyone and have a lot of pretty styles with sleeves in every length.

just type in long sleeve wedding dresses into your search they also have something that looks like a cape it's not attached to the dress but you wear it over the dress (but the dress should be very plain) i found some on davids bridal and bridesonlinestore.com even ebay
