Don't feel guilty about the size of your wedding shower! It's all relative to the amount of people being invited to the wedding.

I was so stressed about nothing being bought off my registry right up until the day before my shower. I got tons of stuff that I didn't register for but they were still nice gifts. I got a lot of gift cards too and items that were personal and thoughtful - much better than a mixer or a spice rack!

Many people wait until the last minute and unfortunately many people do not purchase from the registry. The shower I went to last weekend, only the mothers bought from the registry. 90 people is a little much for a shower. Obviously you care a lot about the gifts. A big family doesn't mean that every distant cousin should have been invited. It is rude to have that many women at a shower.

90 people that's a bit large for a bridal shower, but chances are not all those invited will attend. As far as the gifts go, most people opt to wait until the last minute to purchase a gift for such an occasion. On top of that many people choose to purchase a nice gift which is in there price range similar to something which may be on your registry. Be thankful for any gift that you receive, whether it was on your list or not. Its rather rude to expect someone to bring any particular gift.

It's not unusual, I know that when I had my wedding no one really bought me anything off of my registry but the main reason was that my in laws didn't know what a registry was! They are from Mexico so it was more of a cultural thing. Maybe you put down items that were out of their price range. I wouldn't be offended by it. I would just be happy that they showed up with anything at all! I didn't think anyone registered for a Bridal Shower, I thought you only did that for the wedding?

No, it's not unusual. We never buy from registries, and surely not for a bridal shower. The registries are usually for the wedding gifts.

There could be a problem with the registry... Only one of my gifts was marked as received on my registry, but at the shower I got tons of things that I wanted. Only down side was that I had to take a few things back because of duplicates. (Received 5 mixers, 2 irons, etc.) Everyone kept telling me that they scanned it and everything, so wasn't sure why hardly anything was marked off.

Most people like to buy what they can afford and don't really care for registry's it makes a person feel like they have to buy whats on the list and most times brides ask for really expensive things that a lot of people can't afford. but don't worry I'm sure your gonna get lots of gifts but there gonna come from the heart and whats in there budgets I hope that you will still love and except all gifts . Remember it's the thought not the gift . lol and I hope your shower is a great one.

Sometimes when people buy from a registry, they forget to have the cashier at the store remove the item from your list, so that you know it has been purchased. This is one possibility. Or, maybe not that many people shopped from your registry. You'll find out when you open gifts at your shower!

Oh yeah. If you look on the registry on the day of & nothing more has been bought, you should expect to get a lot of $$$ or gift cards.

BTW - A lot of people like to buy you something that THEY pick out. So you will get some stuff that you don't even want.

Ahhh! I remember my baby shower back in 2000! Every week I kept checking to see what was off the list and it took forever! That is until the last 2-3 days before. Then mostly everything disappeared! Don't fret! Some people give gift cards for the registered store.
