If you are having your reply cards pre-printed, how do you layout the card with menu choices and who wants what? There are 4 choices beef, chicken, fish, and kids dinner. I want to know how many are attending and who wants which plate?
Thanks.

My fiance and I are getting married in August and our dj has given us a packet to fill out about the songs and dances we want to have. There is a question about what you want to have for the parents dance. But all we have are our moms. My dad isn't around so my brother is giving me away and his father passed away. What can we do at the reception to somehow show some appreciation, or dedicate a dance etc.?

Im looking into getting married and honeymooning in Cabo (mexico). How did your destination weddings work out? Was it everything you imagined? And how involved are you in making the arrangements (such as menu options, flower arangements)? Answers from people who has had a destination wedding or have had someone close to them have one only please! Thanks.

As a bride myself, I am getting tired of people acting or telling me it's their wedding day so that entitles them to do whatever or act however they want! Whatever happened to being classy and a good host?

My fiancé and I are in wedding season...
1. We have one couple who was pissed no one came to their $1,000 per person wedding on a tropical island and now they are throwing themselves a dinner a year later expecting gifts!!
2. A friend eloping then in 8 months planning a traditional wedding, wanting a shower and a bachorlette party and everything.
3. Now we have a couple who made their wedding a weekend thing and it’s cost us $500 to spend the weekend in this bed and breakfast! Plus we will have to give them a gift! My fiancé is the best man so he doesn’t want to complain about it…since no one else is.

I know it just not our friends, I have heard other people going through this as well… and I read a ton of things of yahoo about similar stuff. What the Hell is wrong with people??? Do they not even consider ANYONE else or their Guests in the slightest way???

My son is getting married in April, and I want to look good, but I've packed on several pounds since my last "public appearance" (I am a tall size 20). I have a tea-length dress that is "acceptable" (in burgundy with gold), but my friends tell me I look too frumpy in it. The bridesmaids are wearing Aqua colored dresses. I just found a beautiful dress in a periwinkle blue, with a full length A-line skirt, embellished with embroidered roses, beading & crystals, with a matching wrap. I feel like a princess in it.

My concern is that it has more bling than the bride's gown or the bridesmaids. I am only 46 and not ready to look like my own grandmother, and I figure that I will be looking at those pictures for a long time, and I don't want my thought to be how prematurely old I look, but I also don't want to look out of place or silly.

Any advice?

When my boyfriend proposed he told me the sky is the limit. He said I could plan the wedding that I have always dreamed of. The thing is I want a princess themed wedding. I kinda had Cinderella in mind. I want to find a diamond and rhinestone tiara but have no idea where to look. Does anyone have any suggestions.
And yes even though I am expecting I can still have the big wedding that I want cause we will be getting married after the baby arrives.
Our wedding will be big but most of the work will be done by friends so that it will not cost very much. My idea not his.

I need ideas on how to celebrate a 10th Wedding Anniv. I am looking for something inexpensive and simple. Maybe something over a weekend. Having a party is out as is vow renewal or having a nice dinner out.

Other creative ideas would be appreciated.

My little cousin, age 13 will be a Junior Bridesmaid in my July 2007 wedding. All of the other bridesmaids and the Matron of Honor will have male escorts. I will also have a few flower girls w/o escorts. Does the Junior Bridesmaid require an escort? Would it seem odd if she didn't have one?

match? I got five small round diamonds, and 2 small baguettes on the ends, which match the new setting that has a couple baguettes and tiny diamond chips on a somewhat antique setting, placed in square designs.

Is it okay to have the round diamonds on wedding band with the princess cut and setting on engagement ring?

Due to financial issues my fiance and I have had to cancel our reception and have decided to still keep the wedding at the church. We have planned a dinner for close friends and relatives after the ceremony at a nice resturaunt; I'm wondering now what do he and I do after that? go home? a hotel? we are taking our honeymoon 2 days after, we would like to have some free time to relax and get things together before we leave. Is there anything wrong with going home after? what did you or someone you know do. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks a lot :)

What did you do (apart from the obvious nocturnal behaviour)?
Did you enjoy it? (who knows...)

And if you recently married: congrats!

My fiancee and I have been engaged now for a little over a month. We both have been seeing each other for nearly a year, and have become very involved with one another by living and doing everything together for quite sometime.

Now, the only problem we are experiencing is that we cannot decide a date and venue. I want it one way (in my church, with a small amount of family and friends), as my parents (the groom's) have decided to help us finance the wedding, as my bride-to-be's cannot.

My friend is a wedding planner, and really wants us both to work through this, but she suggested a minimum of a six month engagement so we don't feel overwhelmed, and have the time to work on it.

This will be my first marriage and her second marriage, and I want it to be a special day, but without too much "fluff", she wants it to be in the USVI without any friends or family just the two of us, and I want a church wedding. Am I being unreasonable? Any and all help is appreciated! Thank you.

Has anyone every done this or seen this done? She want's the date 7/7/07 so she decide that they are going to Vegas to elope because they can't come up with the cash fast enough to do a real wedding. But then in 6-8 months they are going to have a traditional church wedding with bridemaids/groomsman and do the whole reception? And she wants the big bridal shower and Bachelorette party??
Does this work? I told her my own thoughts were, why spend all the money on a wedding if your already married..... and doesn't it take some specialness out of your wedding day?? They are not getting married for any other reason the the date for 7/7/07........
Am I the only one who thinks this is strange??

I think it is elegant and beautiful but at the same time fun and youthful and bold. It's a bit non-traditional which is a good thing for me. I also thought the color would compliment a range of skin tones as my bridesmaids cover a large spectrum of skin shades. I'm deciding if I will use bold accents in the color scheme (like pairing it with lime green or fuschia), or if I should tone down the peacock color by pairing it with other shades of blue. Any opinions?

Wedding is in December in Kenya, so it will be like summertime!

I really love the song "Fields of Gold" by Sting.... Eva Cassidy as well! Would this be an appropriate song to use somewhere in my wedding service? I've heard somewhere that the song is about memory of a past love or maybe about the afterlife, not sure. Lyrics--

i'm getting married to my boyfriend of 5 years. we've set the wedding to two months from now. i'm really excited coz i love him very much, but the thought of him being the last guy that i'll be kissing freaks me out a bit. i'm not really a player, but i sometimes wonder what its like to kiss somebody else before i get married.
now i have this platonic guy best friend who's also in a relationship right now. we've been friends for 11 years now. i'm thinking of asking him to kiss me, in a real platonic way, mind you, so that i can kiss another guy for the last time. i'm thinking of asking him not to tell my fiance and his girlfriend so that it would not get me into trouble later on.
question is, if you're my bestfriend, would you grant me my favor?

Tried on my dream dress within a bridal store on Saturday, and fell in love with it...

...Seen it on eBay, with a bridal online store called UltimateBridewire.com

They can do it in the exact size and colour I want...

UK Cost £899
Their Cost £344.95 plus p&p £18.50 (or I could even do a Best Offer)

They have a good feedback of 99%

What would you do? Honest answers please... Anyone done this before?

I feel that my partners mother is treating me and my mother like ****. We just had our engagement party and the mother inlaw took total control and wouldnt let us do anything but then complained and got angry at my mum for not helping even though i seen my mum ask to help on several occassions all night.
I also think she gives me the evil eye every time i talk about anything. I feel like she hates me but i have asked her if she likes me and she replied "your like my own daughter"
What have i done wrong???
Plus my partner will not believe me and even though i have proved it on sereval occassions he wont do anything about it. We are planning the wedding for a year away now im thinking his parents are too much to get invovled with
