We stayed at a resord on the Gunflint Trail in the very Northeast area of Minnesota. You could see Ontario accross the lake that was outside of our cabin.
We went at a bad time of the year, too warm to ice fish, ski or dog sled. Too cold to horseback ride, fish or canoe. We wound up going sledding and trying to find moose.
We loved it anyways and would definately go back at a more stable time of the year.

We took a week and camped around North Carolina. No worries, no plans. Hiked the mountains, cuddled in front of the fireplace...It was fantastic! Best of all? 15$ a night plus gas and food. Just us, a car full of gear, a handful of campsites and at one point a very curious nocturnal animal of some kind. Good Luck!

I went to Jamaica in December and it was great! My husband and I stayed at Sandals Montego Bay. The sandals resorts in general, are all inclusive, which is awesome. You do not have to pay for anything at the resort. It was around 3000 dollars for everything- including plane tickets from Syracuse Ny.
The resort itself was nice, with friendly staff, great food, plenty of water sports and activities to partake in, and always something to do- with the bars opening very early, and closing late! The resorts are for adults only too, and lots of other couples were on honeymoons as well.
I think all-inclusive is the way to go. Take a look around at lots of places to see what suits you best. Sandals.com has great pictures and descriptions of the resorts.

I am recently married and thank you very much.I went to Anegada in the British Virgin Islands. The house my husband and I rented was right on the beach so we were able to go swimming everyday, kayak walks on the beach and that sort of thing.I like to cook and experiment with different foods, so I did quite alot of that as well as watch movies read books and listen to music. We only had a week so we were ablr to do everything that we wanted.

We rented a cabin in the woods. We hiked, we got to know each other real good, there was a small town about a mile away, and we went to dinner in their restaurant. Only had a week, but it was great. Did a lot of the obvious stuff too.

We took a quickie trip to Catalina Island. It was in January (a few years ago), so the place was quiet and not crowded at all! It was absolutely dreamy (sorry for the archaic word!).
We recently took a second honeymoon trip to Hawaii...3 islands, 2 weeks, FABULOUS!

We were married 2 1/2 years ago (we are both in our 50's) and went to Montego Bay, Jamaica! It was fabulous and we would like to go back in a few years. If you go, March is about the best time to go. Would highly recommend it to anyone.

We went to Aruba. We basically napped on the beach and ate a whole bunch of wonderful food. It was nice to do nothing and recover after all the wedding planning.
