Is it rude to enter the number of people invited to a wedding on an RSVP instead of the guest filling in this part themselves?

My best friend is getting married and I'm hosing the bridal shower. Her and her fiance have been living together for 8 years and have everything they could need for the house. She suggested gift certificates only and a honeymoon themed wishing well. Does anyone have any tactful wording for the invitation to suggest gift certificates only?

Hi, my fiance and i are getting married in august this year. We are both catholic so we are having a traditional catholic ceremony. I was told that we are suppose to get a marriage license before hand. Do you know if the civil weddings in california just means you go sign a paper and submit it in the court or is there a way we can have a more formal civil wedding where the actual judge will read off the "I now pronounce you husband and wife" lines? I don't want to just go sign some paper and be done with it. If you know how this can be done, please let me know. THanks! I live in southern california, if that helps. Thanks again!

My mom has opened up to the idea of my getting married. She has started to help with the wedding plans even. We have issues on who is going to walk me down the aisle. See my parents have been divorced since I was three years old. My mother is re-married and my step-father was there for me when my real father wasn't.
My mother states that unless I ask my step-father to walk me down the aisle she will not attend the wedding. But I have made up with my real father. It turned out the times he wasn't there for me were medically related. I have even forgiven him. I want him to walk me down the aisle.
What do I do? I want my mother at my wedding and I want my father to walk me down the aisle. As it stands right now I can't have both. This is a major issue between me and my mother she refuses to hear anything other than my step-father will walk me down the aisle.
Could I go for a compromise and have both my real father and my step-father walk me down the aisle or what? suggestions welcome.

If you want to ask someone to be in your wedding what is a good way to ask? Also do you think it is weird if you have 4 bridesmaids and 1 Juinor bridesmaid if you only will have 4 groomsmen? Then at the end of the wedding the Junior bridesmaid will walk by herself and not with an escort?

I'm getting married May24, 08 downtown New Orleans. I will be having a lot of out of town guests plus all of our friends will get a hotel room after being on Bourbon. I'm trying to lock in rooms and have been checking on prices. What is the most you would pay to stay at a hotel for a wedding?

My best friend is getting married on April 21st and picked me to throw the bachelorette party (I'm not in the wedding in any way. Her MOH is her little sister and she doesn't trust her with the plans or the expenses, and the bridesmaids are her cousins in Texas. We live in Georgia). The only thing is, no one agrees with the wedding. The guy she is marrying has cheated on her many, many times (this includes during the engagement) and everyone knows this and has tried to tell her but she won't listen. She's gotten on everyone's nerves for talking non-stop about her fiancee and her wedding plans and for not listening when they advise her against the union. Basically, she's more in love with the idea of getting married and moving out of her parents' house than she is with her fiancee. These are the same people who I would be inviting to the bachelorette party but all of them have said they won't even be coming to the wedding! How do I get them to come to the bachelorette party?!

I am not getting married until June 2008, and I am already ready to pull my hair out from all the stress!! I am having a family friend make the cake, invitations, and flower arrangements...and Im getting married at my grandmothers house, so no venue charge or need for a limo. But I still cannot seem to get my budget under $20,000...this is insane. My fiance has already vetoed eloping or destination wedding.

How did you, or are you, dealing with the stress of the dreaded wedding budget!?

Hi, getting married and wanted to download a few songs to use in the wedding but most locations are only letting me download MP3 songs, I need some Media files, songs that can be played by any type of Player. Any suggestions on where to go for this without an expense involved. One of the songs I am looking for of course is the wedding march.
