Depending on what style you want, check out JC Penney's catalogs that are back by the salon. Or you can check out the internet! You will need to know your girl's sizes! Also, do they need to be utmost formal or will a simple style work? Think about it! Also look at last season's dresses in dress shops. I found beautiful dresses for my daughter's wedding at David's Bridal!!
Hope your day is wonderful!

Most of the weddings I've attended recently have chosen wedding colors, and the bridesmaids have all worn different dresses, but in the chosen color. I think this is a great idea; this allows a bridesmaid to pick a dress that is more flattering to her, and gives options to better suit her budget.
I've found some beautiful bargains on the clearance rack at David's bridal, Macy's, and several resale stores, including Goodwill.
By the way, I also found incredible deals on purchasing previously worn tuxedos at thetuxxman.com and tuxedosonline.com. You can buy a tux for less than it costs to rent!
Good luck!

Where are you buying your dress? Often times if a wedding dress is purchased, there is a discount on bridesmaids dresses.
I bought my dress at David's bridal and my bridesmaids receive $20 off their dresses. I am shooting for $79 and $99 dresses, so they will get $20 off of that. I thought that was quite reasonable.
Good luck!

Depends on what you consider "cheap". My bridesmaids got their dresses from Alfred Angelo and because I bought my gown there, they received a discount. Their dresses turn out to be like $125 each and they received a coupon for 20% off anything else in the store (my MOH used it to buy her little girl cute little shoes as she's a flower girl in another wedding so it really worked out for her). Good luck.

I'm also searching for affordable bridesmaids dresses and my maids are in multiple countries so there's no way they could all come in for measurements anyways.
I think the dress I'm going to end up getting is on sale at Macy's (online) for about $100 each.
But some really great websites I've stumbled upon during my search (which I'm still considering) are:
http://www.therosedress.com
http://www.formalkids.com/cgi-bin/shop/commerce.cgi?product=Bridesmaid_Dresses
http://www.keepmeinstitches.biz/index.htm
Good luck with your search! You'll definitely be able to find something within your budget range on one of those websites!

I went to David's Bridal. We just went yesterday to order my mother in laws dress. They have tons of dresses right at or under $100.00, that is pretty cheap to me. Another thought is that it is prom season here and soon there will be tons of dresses on clearance left over from prom. Places like Macy's and J.C. PENNEY order tons of the same dresses, you might be able to find great prices on prom dresses that could double for bridesmaids. My first wedding I was a maid in we wore Jessica McClintock prom dresses from Macy's. They were black satin with white trim and a corset back with contrasting under panels. $59.99 at Macy's on sale. Best part, no one needed to be altered!

you might want to check online at a choir supply store or something. Especially if you are going with a basic black dress. They are inexpensive (normally), washable and look nice in pictures. I was in a wedding that we wore these. The dress and alteration (hem and needed to be taken in a little bit was less than $100)
Another alternative is to have someone make them. Get good fabric (watch for sales or you will spend lots of $$ on fabric) and then have each one actually fitting your girls :)

David's Bridal is probably the only place where you can get cheap gowns and they come out right if you have your wedding party coming from different states. They also do fittings. You can also check JCPenney's however you may not be able to get everyone to fit the same dress and they may not be able to get it fitted.
