My father in law, and I are very close. He is like a father to me, and has been there more than mine ever has. I want to do something to sort of make him feel special, and show him in front of everybody how much I love him, and am happy to have him as my father in law. I don't want to just give a toast, I want to do something more than that. He's not like an in law, he's like my Dad. I want him to know I feel that way. My fiance's mother always says "Daddy's little girl" when talking about us. My dad hasn't been that good to me, but has made good on it the past few years, so I'm going to have him walk me down the isle, because I think forgiving is the right thing to do, but I want my father in law to know how much I adore the fact that he has always been there for me, and how special he is to me.

I am getting married in August 2007! I was engaged in may 2006 and my maid of honor( my best friend) after saying she would be my maid of honor! Called me and said that she really needed to talk to me and could she comeover? So she came over and gave me the great news that she was engaged! I am so happy for her! And then she asked me if it was OK with me that she gets married 3 weeks before me???? Of course i said ok, what kind of friend would i be to say no! and then she asked me to me the maid of honor in her wedding! What do I do??? And now we are having joint everything! Even the bacheloertte parties are one now! I feel that she is taking eveything special away from me! I am really trting not to be selfish but i dont know what to say or how to fix this! I can tell that this is tearing us apart! Help Please!!!

I do not know how formal the wedding is. Their color scheme is silver - does that indicate formality? All I know is it is in the evening in mid-April. Is a cocktail dress sufficient? What length? Can I add character (like a funky scarf or piece of jewelry) to stand out a little bit? I mean, just because I'm not in the bridal party doesn't mean I want to look like every other guest...

My boyfriend and I have been together for six months. I don't feel like we're a typical couple. We want a lot of the same things in life and we have identical values. We are also individuals who have our own lives. We live together and we get along famously. Most of our close friends say they could definately see us getting married, and so do we, we've talked about it, even talked of having children together. How long should we have to wait? There is no doubt that it's eventually going to happen, but it seems like the only reason we're waiting is so that others approve. Why is there a certain time limit to getting married?

Well, I contacted my ex after 6 months - since we broke up...
I met this person last year, and we were in love, we broke up 6 months back - and today i decided to just say hi online -


1st he was very nice to me, and then after sometime, he started to act crazy - he started name calling - he said i was crazy - and then said he is in love with another women - I gave it back to him, however I just dont know why he behaved this way, or what i did to deserve this??

he was so rude, waht can i do?? what do i do abt it? why would he act this way when all i did was be nice and say hi?

are all Men like this??

to butt in and help my sister,mom and i plan her wedding? my brothers wife has taken control and i dont have a chance to share this special day with my sister. i am her maid of honor and my sister wants me to spend the night w her and get ready with her but my sister in law insist that will be leaving her out and she called my sister(the bride) to tell her it will be easier for my sister to get ready at her house and now im left out? isnt the maid of honorto get ready w the bride? me and my little sis are best friends & our sis in law doesnt have a sister ive tried being nice but she doesnt respond to niceness..i had a bridal shower planned me and my mom were planning it we bought the party stuff ordered the cake but 3 days ago my sis n law pursuaded my sis to have it at her house & now i am not going and 6 guests that my sister wanted 2 really come are not going cause we r not compfortable over sister in laws house she is controlling and she is rude she demands things her way. pl help

Tears of joy? A wedding is a big event, how can you be so happy for someone else as to cry, in some cases when you aren't even related to the couple. You never see the bride or groom crying with tears of joy.

I finally decided on a date for my wedding, April 5th 2008, and I would like to use pink and white tiger lillies but i would also like to add colors of turqouise to the wedding colors. Any "themes" i could go with or colors? and centerpiece ideas if you have any. This wedding is going to be a formal wedding in a catholic church and a 400-500 guest reception. Very elegant, any ideas?
