my fiance and I are having issues chooseing a wedding song to dance to that we both agree on. I love most country, and he's really into classic rock. Any suggestions of something we both might enjoy would be great!

Why settle with one song? Take a song of your choosing and a song of his choosing and play them, one after the other to dance to.
If you don't want to do that, there are classic country songs that made it onto the contemporary charts, such as Kenny Logins or Dolly Parton.

That is definetly a hard on. Complete opposites in music. The fact that it is a wedding "dance " song for the new couple would send a signal to your fiance' that it should be something along the country side. Something that tells of the love you share and the happiness it gives you both. There is one by Vince Gill - When love finds you that be of interest. Another slightly rock band Styx - Babe is a really good song.
The hard thing is that most classic rock is just that- its rock...the ballads they put are few and go way back to the 80's --- Aeromsmith - I dont want to miss a thing ( From Armeggedon) is a wonderful wedding song- its says it all- about staying up just looking into your partners eyes while they sleep, not want to miss anything without him/her being there. It is done by a classic rock band as a beautiful ballad. I used that sond in my wedding because of the meaning that it held for us. Hope this helps/

There are a lot of country songs out there that sound like rock! Dierks bently Brad paisley. Or you can go older and pick an oldie but goodie!!!! classic rock love songs are the best! What you can do is both pick 10 songs that you like! Then give them to the other person, listen to them and rate them! the top rated from both will be the two you choose from! It worked for my fiancee and I!!!!!

The song "Your Song" from the Moulin Rouge soundtrack was written by and originally performed by Elton John...Ewan McGregor ruined it...
BUT...my wedding song was Don't want to miss a thing...aerosmith, it was great..especially when the symbols crash in the beginning/middle...it was so dramatic:)

there are actually quite a few songs that were first recorded as rock and then remade country or vice versa. that might be a nice compromise and you would both love the song.
