I cried at my first wedding. I was scared. I found out later it was my intuition telling me to get the heck out of there!
Honestly? I cry at weddings because I know this person, and this person is going through a ceremony, a life change that will be always and forever referred to in their life. Things that happened BEFORE the wedding, things that happened AFTER the wedding. That's emotional stuff in my book.

I know! It's so funny. I hate that I have inherited the "crying gene" from my Mom. I cry over commercials! So at weddings I am always a mess. I think it is just very touching to share in such a special moment with the bride and groom. I am getting married in October so I am already looking for the best waterproof mascara!

Tears of joy is from within when it touches the finer inner part ..an ethereal environment brings also the "beauty" of love brings out something within that we could not explain.
The bride or groom , my dear is smiling with joy ...they are touched and have their tears of joy prior to the wedding ..the proposal - where offer and acceptance of commitment of two souls agree to be in union. Duringwedding ..its more of fear ..yet they brave it by love and commitment in that vow. Unless its a fleeting flighty romance...Las Vegas type ..so you could not sense tears.... . Do a research how many as guest shed tears of joy in quickie marriage Las Vegas style with the real one. The real one always goes deeper that confound human understanding unless you seek within the inner recesses of such amazement .Even man cried in weddings ..ask the father of bride .

I only have ever cried at one wedding, my best friends. I was the MOH and she and I planned her wedding together, as she came out of the doors with her dad I just broke down, it was a combination of stress from wanting everything for her to be just perfect and also it was happiness that my best friend had met this wonderful man and she would be happy for the rest of her life. It wasnt sadness at all.
I have seen many bride and grooms cry, but again, I think thats just alot of stress release because its such a stressful time and to be standing, finally, at that altar is such a relief, they just start crying.
Weddings are emotional.

Weddings are a passage in life and it reminds many of their own wedding. It's unashamedly sentimental as it should be and is designed to celebrate love or some reasonable facsimile. I recall a wedding wear the best-man was in tears. The bride (the love of his life) had married his best friend.

Just me thinking about walking down the aisle I cry and they are tears of joy. For some people it's the sentiment, or it may just make them remember something in their lives.

I think moms cry because they see the little children they once knew suddenly become grown up and entering into a union of real responsibility. If you ever see the father of the groom cry, then you know he is finally getting rid of his family dependent son....my father-in-law sends 'me' a anniversary card every year with a big smiley face.

I would cry because I hate to see people ruin their lives. most marriages end up in a heap on the floor and think of the money you could have had if you had just STOPPED. Besides marriage changes people.
