I live in Southern CA, and though I don't know about houses exactly, this website should help with reception sites...among other things.

Just click "find a location" at the top and you will be directed to a list of different regions, and the option to search by which type of location you want (Bed & Breakfast, private home, etc.)

Congratulations!

At exceptionally plenty each and every wedding ceremony i've got ever been to, the reception as we talk observed the rite. otherwise, what are your wedding ceremony travelers meant to do with themselves for 7 or 8 hours between the rite and reception while you're "resting" -- fantastically in the event that they have pushed any distance to return to the marriage and that they are all dressed up?? you will land up with all people finding out to pass the rite and basically look later for the reception. undesirable thought. perhaps if its a trip spot wedding ceremony in a motel area, the place all people is staying on the comparable inn and can basically go carry out at the same time to kill time until eventually the reception. besides the actuality that in the event that they commence stunning out on the bar and eating after the rite, by utilising the time the reception starts, people will already be exceptionally drunk. yet another undesirable thought.

I have a co worker who found an old victorian home he really liked, he simply knocked on their door told them of his upcoming wedding and they not only gave him the porch, front room and dining room, but also had a room set aside for the bride to to get ready in all for $100. And as a wedding gift to them threw in a dinner, buffett style for free. You never know what people may do, you could always try this route.

ooh! My brother had his wedding in a beautiful mansion in La Jolla. I can't remeber the name, but it was gorgeous and so intimate. I think you could probably look it up on the internet.
