My best friend is getting married on April 21st and picked me to throw the bachelorette party (I'm not in the wedding in any way. Her MOH is her little sister and she doesn't trust her with the plans or the expenses, and the bridesmaids are her cousins in Texas. We live in Georgia). The only thing is, no one agrees with the wedding. The guy she is marrying has cheated on her many, many times (this includes during the engagement) and everyone knows this and has tried to tell her but she won't listen. She's gotten on everyone's nerves for talking non-stop about her fiancee and her wedding plans and for not listening when they advise her against the union. Basically, she's more in love with the idea of getting married and moving out of her parents' house than she is with her fiancee. These are the same people who I would be inviting to the bachelorette party but all of them have said they won't even be coming to the wedding! How do I get them to come to the bachelorette party?!

And yes, I've even tried to tell her about her fiancee's cheating ways but she won't even listen to me! She's very naive.

First of all, good job on getting past her decision. It's very clear that she's being unreasonable, and I'm glad that you've accepted that there's nothing you can do to change her unreasonable decision. It's better to be supportive of her unreasonable decision and be ready to pick up the pieces than to ruin a friendship in the process of trying to change her decision. As for the bachelorette party, the only thing I can suggest to get people to come who don't really want to be there is to many an offer they can't refuse. Serve really amazing food, see an amazing performance, or something of the sort- and make sure everyone knows it. That way, they may not come to be supportive of her, but they'll come for the food, entertainment, etc., even if it's just for show for the doomed bride to be.

Send out invitations, thats all you can do. If someone doesnt want to do something, aside from actually picking them up and carrying them there, you wont get them to go. I would do the invitations with her there and send them out, so she knows you tried and cant fault you for not doing your part and then when they reply no you can just tell her thats it going to be the two of you, that everyone declined the invite.
There isnt much you can actually do in this situation.

Let them know the bachlorette party would be a good time to catch her drunk & vulnerable to the influence of ya'll. Really, though you can talk to her then & maybe get some things in the thick wedding dressed head of that girl.

There's also the bonus of strippers to tempt the reality outta her.

Don't have one!!! Be a good friend and show a little tough love. I think honestly what the family is doing is right because they love her they are showing tough love by not going to her wedding. I just hope they are decent enough not to rub it in her face in the future when they end up divorced.

I dont think you will be getting anyone to that party. Maybe its a good thing though. Maybe she'll realize that this is not good for her once she sees that no one is showing up. Maybe this will knock some sense into her.
