I think it is elegant and beautiful but at the same time fun and youthful and bold. It's a bit non-traditional which is a good thing for me. I also thought the color would compliment a range of skin tones as my bridesmaids cover a large spectrum of skin shades. I'm deciding if I will use bold accents in the color scheme (like pairing it with lime green or fuschia), or if I should tone down the peacock color by pairing it with other shades of blue. Any opinions?
Wedding is in December in Kenya, so it will be like summertime!

And what color scheme do you think I should use--the bold accent colors (like lime gree or fuschia) or the harmonious shades of blue?

And what body shapes would this or wouldn't this work with? I think it would be fairly friendly to the range of body shapes of my maids.

It's perfect! You're right it will compliment most skin tones as well as body types. I personally would think it would be too bright to pair with a bright color like lime green or fuscia. I like the other idea of other shades of blue to compliment it. Congratulations!

I DO like it! And you were right on when you asked about the body shapes...I was thinking the same thing when I saw your question. I really think that this dress could be flattering for pretty much any body shape-flattering different parts for different bodies, obviously. My only concern would be the thickness of the material. If it is too thin, it could be more revealing that some would be comfortable with. I would go with the accents of blue or fuschia. Lime green seems like it would be a little much. Good luck!!

I love the dress! It looks like it would work with pretty much all body types unless someone has really large arms... sleeveless isn't all that flattering to chubby arms. But I really do love the dress. I hate the typical bride's maid dresses that you'll never wear again but your girls could totally wear this dress again. I think they'd look amazing with gold jewelry. I'm not sure that I would go with blue accents... it seems to me that it would clash although there are a million shades of blue out there so you could make it work. What about a soft yet vibrant yellow color... and white! Congratulations to you - it looks like the wedding will be very tasteful judging from the dress you're looking at... I love it!
Be sure to read the comments below the dress... the girl who bought it was 5'8" and it came down to her calves. I like it the knee-length where the model has it. She also said that as a B-cup she had a hard time filling it out up top without a padded push-up bra.

The dress is wonderful & free spirited as well as feminine. The color is great but lime green will throw it way off I think. Go bold with a bright fuschia then set the peacock & fuschia off with a creamey off white. The contrast will be great!!!

I like it. It's a beautiful dress. I would go with the shades of blue. I think the bright colors would be a little too much. It should look good on most everyone as long as you don't have anyone too big. I would take them to the store and have them all try it on. We did that when I picked out a dress and it didn't look good on all the girls. We ended up with a totally different one. Good Luck!

Are the maids all small boned? This type of dress looks best on smaller women. (I know since I am a larger woman and wore something like this and it was less than flattering.)
It would be larger frame friendlier with a little shrug or cropped jacket type thing over it.
Otherwise the color is fantastic. I hope you have a fantastic wedding!

I love it, I want it for me to just have! I think the lime green and fushia would be GEORGEOUS, I love the bold brightnes of it, it would really pop off the dresses where as the blues will just disapear, which is kinda boring, I think the dresses would look good on lots of people, they are very a-line and thats universaly flattering, also you did good with the color on skin-tones, turquoise looks good on every skin color, anyone can pull it off!

Colour is AMAZING. I would pair it with Bright colours. Fuschia is the way to go I think.
I dont think it would work for large chested women but you don't know until you try it on them. It seems like a friendly shape.
Wow I want that for my bridesmaids. Too bad I already have mine :)

It's beautiful, but looks more green than blue to me, I would go with the shades of Lime and Fuchsia rather than blue, I just think those colours will look much fresher and vibrant, especially as you are going to Kenya and it will be hot

I think the dress is an excellent choice. And your bridesmaids are more likely to get more use out of this dress than just the one night at your wedding.
I would go with harmonious shades of blue. Progressive shades of blue going in the deeper direction.
