Who says all dances have to be paired male and female. I say your fiance should dance with his mom and you should dance with your mom at the same time with a pretty "mother song"
I don't speak to my dad so my intentional plan was to dance with my mom and have her walk me down the aisle. Unfortuneatly my mom passed last Oct. so now my son is walking me down the aisle.

Honestly if I were in this position I would still do a "parents" dance. They do have mother/son dances just like the father/daughter dance. It's your wedding you don't have to conform to "wedding" protocol if you don't want. As far as your mother, I would give her a nice heartfelt, handwritten letter to let her know how much you appreciate her and all she has done for you, maybe along with a spa cerficate or an open invite to coffee with you. That would mean more to me as a mother then any kind of public acknowledgment. Just my opinion.

Have their sons dance with them...
.or better yet have your husband.......... also a you give his mother a rose and he gives your mother a rose during the wedding ceremony would be great............
you too can put all your and his childhood photos in a movie and show it at the reception too
I have tons of ideas....lol...good luck
I suggest though you both reading Dr Phils book about what you should ask before you marry someone...if he doens't answer them right you may want to rethink this wedding too....
1 out of 2 marriages fail so.....u don't want that............good luck!

Dance to "Song for Mamma" by Boyz II Men it is the greatest!! If you want to hear it I will be happy to e-mail it.
My son (14 then) surprised me with it at our wedding - and not only that he spent 2 weeks prior learning the song and sang it to me as we danced. Not a dry eye in the place and something that I will NEVER forget.
Good Luck

Just choose a special song and have the DJ announce that this song is dedicated to:
Then have the ladies come forward and give them a hug and kiss!

Here's one for your fiance:
Mom, You’ll Always Mean the World to Me
words and music by T.J. Loughran
Mom, I’m so happy today
and I know you’re happy for me
On my wedding day,
it’s the best of my life
Now I have found a woman to have and to hold
but it will always be
That Mom, you’ll always mean the world to me
Chorus
Mom, You’ll Always Mean the World to Me
from my very first breath, to the end of my days there is one certainty
I will love you, I’ll love you forever, that will always be...cause
Mom you’ll always mean the world to me
Mom you’ll always mean the world to me

And one for your mom:
TO BE A WOMAN
When I was very little
My favorite game to play
Was to dress up in your pretty clothes
To be like you in every way
Were you my special guardian angel
When growing up was hard to do?
Youd kiss away my tears
Help me face my fears
I learned what courage is about
Because of you
CHORUS
All that I am and hope to be
All of my dreams I could always see
In your eyes ever shining through
Im blessed cause I learned from you
What it means to be a woman
You were my rock and my foundation
The light that led the way
And your little girl is a woman now
Growing stronger every day
You have a special way of seeing
From a mothers point of view
All thats deep inside of me
You inspired me to see
My wildest dreams are made for coming true
CHORUS
Now Ive found love and Im loved in return
And so grateful to you for every lesson Ive learned
CHORUS
All that I am and hope to be
All of my dreams I still can see
In your eyes - ever shining through
Im blessed cause I learned from you
What it means what it means to be a woman

You can either forego that portion of the dance, or better yet, when that time comes, you dance with his mother and have him dance with yours. It's still a "parents" dance as you'll be dancing with your parents. Good luck.

How nice that you both are thinking of your mothers during your special time.
One suggestion is this: Just as you say your "vows" during the ceremony, why don't you each speak vows to your mother-in-law. For instance: The man vows to his new wife's mother that he will love and cherish her daughter forever. The woman can vow something similar to her new mother-in-law, regarding her son.
Best wishes!
