Vintage style Wedding. I am planning this as a surpise for my Step daughter. This is her snd wedding & her husbands second wedding. One is catholic the other is jewish, so a chirch will not work. SOmewhere they can elope with about 10 friends & family, perhaps even take their small children, and then remain for their Honeymoon. Neither care for cold weather too much. They were going to just go to Vegas, but I am planning this as a surprise gift from her dad & me. maybe near a waterfall, a pretty mountain, a beach I am at a loss dor ideas. I only know that she got very sick in Greece and was in the I.C.U at a very primative hospiatal abut 10 years ago, so she weill not leave the United States. would appreciate any unique, original ideas very much

My fiance and I are planning to get married in June. I have done all the planning myself so far. Any time I ask for any help or even just an opinion he gets really angry with me, blows up and starts a fight over nothing. He says he wants to marry me but I feel like I am planning this entire wedding for myself, it's making me sad. He won't even give me a list of who he plans on inviting. How can I get him to not fight with me when I need a question answered about the plans. It's like walking on egg shells. I've asked if he wants to post pone it but he says no.

is it proper to refer to a woman engaged to be married as "his" fiance'? In other words, is the term "fiance" equally accepted for both the male AND the female, or is there another title for the female?

this is my 1st marrage,my bfs 2nd(he also has a child with his ex)tom's 1st wedding consisted of a huge wedding(200+people in which 78 were toms family)expensive engagment photos the full works.now for "our" wedding he wants it as small as possible tells people what a waste of money a wedding is.his proposal consisted of us sitting at home looking at houses to buy.he said he did not want to buy a house with me unless we were married(to set a good example for his son), i said ok,he said we will go pick out the ring tomorrow that was it.i told him i will pay for half the wedding, which is more than his ex did(he payed for the whole thing right out of college)i don't expect an expensive wedding,i just want him to show some interest.i know from his sister he was fully involed and excited about his 1st wedding.sometimes i feel hes getting married just to have someone help pay the bills.does this mean he does not love me as much as his 1st wife or is it just done it did it no big deal anymore

Where did you go and how much did it cost you? We are getting married in August and are trying to plan a budget for the trip. What does an 'average' trip cost?

My fiance & I are paying for our own wedding, so we chose to keep the wedding party small, and guest list to family & close friends. Now, six months before our wedding, the bridesmaid pulled out. So we have a bride, groom, best man, maid of honor, and a groomsman.

I'm debating whether to ask someone to be a bridesmaid, or to just leave it with just us (bride & groom) and the best man & maid of honor. If so, I don't know how to tell the groomsman that basically, he won't be in the wedding anymore.

What's the proper etiquette in this situation...and any suggestions on how/what to do?

Thanks!

Hey, my fellow brides to be! I found a great site ($9.95 a month though), to post our wedding information. If you go to eweddings.com, you can create an account where you can post dress codes (I'm having a luau theme, so I want my guests to wear hawaiian shirts and sundresses-they'll be more comfortable), they can RSVP on the site, pick their menus, see photos of us and the wedding party, read the bride and groom's stories, get directions to the ceremony/reception, see our vendors, anything you can think of. It's sooo easy to set up too, it took me only fifteen minutes and everyone loves it!
