I allowed 1 month for responses, for a destination wedding where essentially everyone traveled in. 6 weeks is too long. I think people are confusing your question with "How long before the wedding do I mail the invites?"
If you wedding is mostly locals and on a non-holiday weekend, then 2-3 weeks is plenty of time for a response. For those coming from out of town, 1 month is more acceptable. Even less time can be given if you used a Save the Date and have been in contact with most of the people who will probably come.
Good luck to you and congratulations! : )

If your wedding in in late April or early mail I would mail the invitations in early March to give 6 weeks response time and then two weeks for you to follow up. Typically you mail the invitations 6-8 weeks in advance of the wedding and select an RSVP date that best suits you and your guests. We gave 4 weeks for people to respond so that we will have 4 more weeks to follow up and make any changes necessary.

You need to mail out the invites 6-8 weeks before the wedding date...so depending on that is when you should send them out. Give people enough time to respond back also.

You would mail the invitations no longer than two months before the wedding. I'm hoping the date you've used for RSVP is because of the caterer - also tack on a few days so you can phone people who don't respond.

Generally you mail them 6-8 weeks before the wedding. You should try to have them arrive about 4 weeks before the RSVP date - so around the 19th of March. If you mailed them out around the 15th-19th. you would be fine.

About 6 to 8 weeks (depending on where the invitation is going). I would say the end of February or beginning of March.
Good luck

You should send your invitations 6-8 weeks before your ceremony (which should be 5-7 weeks before your response date).
