Before...provided this is a love relationship and you have intended to marry. There are a few reasons....
1. It gives the child a solid family environment to be born into.
2. It can benefit you financially, particular if one has insurance and the other does not. You are allowed a change of status when you get married, so you can add soeone on your insurance and possibly pay for the birth (which can be upwards of $10K)
3. It will avoid feelings of stress during the pregnancy because you will feel secure in your relationship.

This is something you and the babies father have to decide together but I can give my opinion. If you where not planning on getting married before you found out you where pregnant don't force the issue now. It is not a good idea to get married for the sake of the baby, most of thoes marriages end badley and the children end up suffoering. Take time to get to know each other and decide if you where ment to be with each other forever. If on the other hand you where planning it anyway and this just speeds it up go for it!

you don't have to get married before the baby is born. you shouldn't rush things. but, if you feel this is something you need to do then go ahead and sign the papers and you can always have your wedding later when you have had time to plan just the way you want it. it should be somethinhg to remember!

My personal opinion is before the baby is born you should be married.

After....Don't get married because you feel that it's "the right thing to do"... Wait a while after you have the little one and see if things are really going to work out for the two of you. Then get married when you are totally sure. Best of luck and congratulations.

NOW. Get yourselves to city hall, or wherever you can get married as soon as you can where you live. It's time to give up "the big wedding" idea, be unselfish, and do this for your child.

after.....babies bring a whole new type of stress to a relationship. If you were not considering marriage before being pregnant, then it will only get worst.
