The way I decorated my tables was cheap and easy.
In the middle I placed a test tube vase 99 cents each. Inside I placed four roses $4.00.
At each persons seat I placed a box witht he wedding favors in them (bubbles, bell, 5 jordan almonds, and an individual gift).
Box .99
box of 24 bells $5.00 /.21
box of 24 bubbles $5.00 / .21
bag of Jordan almonds $5.00 /$1.00
induvidual gift $1.00 or less
So each wedding favor was $3.41
I can send you pics but since you do not have a email on your profile you would have to contact me lil_lil_lady_bug@yahoo.com

Call some local florist and see if they rent out any of there centerpiece items such as table mirrors, vases, and candle holders. I do floral for weddings and for one of the lower budget weddings i did I rented mirrors for about 50c each put a few tealights on them then in a clear glass vase i also rented for about 75c each i put themed items in it. for theres it was christmas ornaments ( dec wedding :) but for whatever your doing you could put a single stem of a flower, orchids look nice, fill the vase with water so the flower is submerged and put a floating candle on top. Each Centerpiece would cost about $5 depending on the flower used. Email me if you need additional help. la_angel1986@sbcglobal.net

I went to the dollar store and bought very inexpensive jars. They were clear glass jars about the size of a cookie jar... no lids.. kinda like a vase. And then I got glass paint from michaels ($3) and I sponged it on the outside. I had masked off some stripes with masking tape and sponged ont he paint so there was a design. When they dried they were translucent and so pretty with the water in them.
We filled them with short bunches of flowers from costco. We saved a ton of money and they looked gorgeous. Everyone stillr aves about my wedding and says I should be a wedding co-ordinator and how it was the best wedding they had been to in their entire lives. (Yay!)

those clear fish like kinda bowls with those pretty coloured rocks in them filled slightly with a coloured tealight candle n put lil ribbons round the outer lip.(basically the weddin colours) and on the outer of the glass where it sits on the table put flowers around it (again weddin colours). it makes for beautiful centerpieces especially at night for indoors or outdoors.

Get several square, glass vases of different sizes and cover them with the tissue that is used with wrapping gifts. That is what I am doing for my wedding. Check out the website: http://www.marthastewart.com/page.jhtml?type=content&id=channel3540150&catid=cat470&navLevel=3

Get some cheap tea candles or votives in colors that match your wedding colors and come cheap glass candle holders, like the ones you can put the candle in and it's all the way inside it. IDK what they're called...
Anyway...get some of those and the candles from your local craft store....
They really are quite pretty...even more so if you light them...
