I like the idea of different (but not too crazy). Both me and my fiance like the idea of going a bit non-traditional. What do you girls think about different color bride's dress? Any ideas welcome! :)

Hey everyone! I'm finally marrying my boyfriend of 6 years!! We'll be married in October and we wanted an Autumn-themed wedding because we met on Halloween six years ago and we thought it would be nice to "relive" the night we met! So... my question to all of you is: who has some cute/unique decoration ideas for a fall wedding? Favors, invitations, centerpieces, decorations...any help is greatly appreciated!!

My gf and I have been together for 1-1/2 yrs. I love her and she loved me. We have been engaged for 6 months and the wedding is coming up in 3 months. I have always been 100% honest with her and her family. I even told her that I was on probation for something that had happened 4 yrs ago. I was scheduled to get off probation in 30 days, and was ready to spend the rest of my life with her. 1 week ago I was arrested for missing a payment for probation. I went to court and paid the fine and the court let me go. Unfortunately while I was in jail she found out what my original charge was for 4 yrs ago and lost her mind. It was embarrassing to me to discuss issues like that. I'm sure if anyone went to jail for something they didn't do they would be ashamed of the whole issue. Now she has cancelled all wedding plans and is not sure wether she can ever trust me again or if she even wants to be with me at all. I love her more than she will ever know. How should I handle this????

My husband never did propose to me. One night he came over to my place and we were arguing about something (can't remember what), and he angrily, sarcastically yelled " well what the ***** did you want to do, get married?!?" to which I (just as sarcastically and angrily), replied "oh yeah sure, whatever". He then walked out of my apartment. The next day I asked him if he had been serious about what he said and he said " &$#@ I don't know", got mad and stormed off. The next day I asked him again if he had meant it and he said " &$#@ I don't know. I guess whatever". We got married a year later, although I never did receive an engagement ring or a wedding ring. Presently, after three years of marriage and four years after becoming engaged, I still havn't received an engagement ring or a wedding ring from him, even though he has a wedding ring!
So everyone, let's hear your bad engagement stories! It's always good to know that you're not alone in your harrowing experiences!!!

I am getting married in September and my wedding is outside. My colors are cranberry and silver. I am struggling very much with the idea of favors. I swear I have looked at everything and have found nothing. I am not very creative, but I know that I want to have something different from my wedding. I am not too picky, just want something different. Any ideas?

My best friend's mother offered to do the addressing of our invitations. She is going to be invited. Does she write out her own invitation? Or do I do that one...will she think she's not invited?

Also, she does not want to be paid. I am going to take her out to dinner, but I would also like to give her a small something. What could I do?

Hey thanks for reading! Ok, my boyfriend asked me to marry him and i said yes. His mom is totally freaking out about the thing. She thinks that everything has to be perfect. She's practically planning my wedding for me and i don't want her to do that to us. I don't know how to talk to her about it. Also, his dad totally hates me. How can I get him to deal with the fact that I love his son and we will be getting married? How should I talk to his mom about planning our wedding?

I got married in the basement of the court house in Ely, Nevada and I lived in Las Vegas for a few years, so I have seen all the quick no frills weddings I ever wanted to. I believe that if I ever get married again it needs to be special and envolve all the family from both sides in order to mean more. I was told be a friend the other night that I was wrong and the she would perfer just a couple of close friends. I would be curious about your opinions not that I think you can change my mind on this subject.

I had 2 affairs in my life. One for 2 months and other one for 2 yrs.. But never got physical with anyone as i dont believe in sex before marriage. I don't have any contacts now at this point of time with any of these persons. Now should i tell about these affairs to my would be husband? or is there no need? as there was nothing physical. I was thinking this as it might cause a problem afterwards if my husband gets to know this from my friends.

My cousin and his fiance are having a wedding in North Carolina (where her family is) on July 20th. My fiance and I are having our wedding in Wisconsin (where our family is) on July 7th. Is it rude to choose that date when it is so close to their's? We chose this date because it was the only opening they at the reception hall we choose. And we are due to have a baby in August. My other cousin is having her wedding on August 4th, which is two weeks from the 20th also. My cousin's fiance isn't complaining about their's, just ours because it happens to be in the same month. Should we change all our plans?
