I am 55 years old.I am getting my daughter married by 1st week of February'07.I feel,my daughter wants to condemn me after she gets married. Is it fair enough? She feels that her mother is only the one who cared for her,not the father.

I m looking for a Venue for ROM in Singapore.

Most Singaporeans will hold it either at the ROM office followed by a beffect reception at either party's home, or a buffet reception at a Condominium Multi Purpose Hall or Pool Side.

I m looking for somewhere special, and can accomodate approx 40 guest. Not really looking at Hotels receptions as they might be costly.

Is it okay to show up at your old friend's wedding uninvited if you're there to have fun and you wanted to congratulate the bride/groom? I have always wanted to show up at people's weddings uninvited so I can meet new people and get reunited with my old friends from high school and I'm the kind of person who loves to have lots of friends and since I live in a small town there aren't alot of things to do.

i was raised catholic but was never forced to take my first communion becasue my parents wanted me to be able to make my own decisions once i got older, well im 23 now and still go to the catholic church and im also now engaged to someone who is still searching for the right religion to become. were both pretty sure we want to become catholic and we want a catholic wedding. we plan on getting married next year...Do we have to take our first communion before we get married or what if one of us completes the steps in becoming catholic and the other doesnt, what do we do next to have a catholic wedding?

I just got engaged but I'm not the typical female who goes ga ga for weddings. Every female that I have talked to so far knew what date they wanted to get married the day they got engaged. I'm so lost on all that has to be done and where to start. Need help!

I have heard that it is 3 weeks pay/3months pay/10% of your annual sallary. What i am asking is seriously how much is 'not enough' and how much is 'too much'?? I earn a fairly decent wage, but we are also saving to buy a house together so should the priority be the house or a wizz bang engagement ring? The girl who is receiving, i know will say yes, and is the air that i breathe...

So I'm getting married in May, and everything is going to plan except for my fiancee's worries about my mother and baby brother. My parents divorced recently and it was UGLY, causing a huge rift in my family. She blatenly refuses to even speak with him and has instructed my brother who is 14 not to have anything with him either. The kid was a total spaz and still is, so I worry about any interactions going sour. Especially at the rehersal dinner and the ceremony.

After discussions with my soon to be, she suggested that if she couldn't act civil, then she should stay home, and I agree with her, but she's my mother and I feel some guilt about banning her from our wedding. Granted my mom and I don't get along, but shes my mom. I need some advice from those of you out there to give me something to work with to help weigh the situation out. Thank you for your help in advance.

My boyfriend and I were talking about honeymoons and he was remembering some old wedding tradition he had heard. He couldn't rememeber if it was, "you should honeymoon in a place that you will not be able to revisit" (i.e. it will be extra special that way), or if it was "you should honeymoon in a place that you can revisit someday with your spouse". Maybe he has it completely wrong, but none the less, any thoughts or answers to this question would be greatly appreciated!

Your supposed to buy you wedding party gifts which I understand and don't see a problem with but all the books I have got recently say the bride and groom buy each other a gift also. Why? Isn't it already a beautiful gift in getting married and dedicating your lives to one another? We are paying for our own wedding and I don't see the purpose in spending money on it?
