I want to get married to my fiancee some day sooner rather than later, But i dont know how much i need to save up. I dont want to get a loan out to pay for it so i would need to save every penny. we are only looking at a small wedding with close friends and family with a meal after with our close friends and family only. Please can someone let me know roughly how much a small wedding like that will cost.

P.S we only want to get married in a registrar, NOT a church as neither of us was christened so we dont feel the need to.

OK TELL ME IF THIS IS GONNA LOOK OK =) IM IN A WHITE DRESS WITH LIGHT PINK THINGS THAT GO DOWN THE BACK(TEAROSE) . THE BRIDESMAIDS ARE IN DRESSES THE SAME COLOR AS THE PINK ON MY DRESS. I KNOW USUALLY THEY'LL WEAR EITHER ALL TIES OR ALL BOWTIES BUT THATS NOT WHAT WE ENDED UP PICKING OUT HE'LL ALSO LOOK MORE CLASSIER AND NICE WITH THE BOWTIE BUT LIKE I SAID THE GROOMSMEN ARE IN TIES. IS THAT OK? OF COURSE THE COAT AND ALL TOO. AND MY FIFI GOT THOSE OLDSCHOOL ZOOT SUIT LOOKING SHOES THAT ARE BLACK WITH WHITE ON TOP OF THE TOE PART. THAN MY FLOWER GIRL AND MOH IS IN THE SAME DRESS AS THE BRIDESMAIDS AND RING BEAR IN THE SAME ATTIRE AS THE GROOMSMEN. AND CAN I JUST SAY MY FLOWERGIRL (FUTURE SISTER IN LAW) IS 12! Well J.J. has finally popped the question. And yes I have accepted. We are planning to be married in a beach ceremony in the middle of the summer.
J.J.'s cousin is helping us plan the wedding and her sister suggested something that I think is tacky. The woman actually suggested that I wear a white swimming suit with a white sarong around it. Now how tacky is that? Believe it or not the woman actually got mad when I asked if she would wear a wedding dress to a pool party lol.
Was I wrong to say this was tacky or should I be more open minded. I want to have my wedding my way. not anyone elses

I'm getting married soon!!!!
Since i have pretty short hair i decided not to wear a veil.
And i think tiaras are just too tacky.
So i thought a pretty headpiece would be nice.
Or maybe some nice hair pins.

Where can i find such things?
Any good websites?

Thanks in advance!

I am also planning on proposing to my gf and trying to figure out when the best time would be to do it. I already have the ring. It just so happens my birthday is coming up. Would it be romantic to propose at the end of my birthday after spending the day together and she's given me my birthday gift, etc. and say something like sweetie, you've given me an excellent b-day and I love everything you've given me and done for me, but there's just one more thing I want for my birthday...I want to spend the rest of my life with you...then pop the question.

what do you think ladies?

I asked a question yesterday about what my fiance and I should register for if we don't really need anything...is it appropriate to register for things to help turn our spare room in the house into a baby's room? I'm not pregnant, but we are planning on having children soon!?!
Thanks!

My boyfriend has just asked me to marry him. He has told me the sky is the limit and I have started planning the wedding of my dreams.
I have always waited a princess themed wedding kind of like cinderella.
My boyfriend has assured me that him and I will be paying for most of the wedding so what I want goes.
The problem is my mother. She doesn't like any of my ideas. She says no to every single one of them. She has taken all the fun out of planning this wedding.
Caleb and I are considering just running off to get married cause of her interference.
She just wants things to be her way and no questions asked.
She has told me that if she doesn't get her way she will not attend the ceremony.
Sure I value my mother's opinion but she has taken over. How do I get her to see that my ideas are worth something. And that since Caleb and I are paying for this wedding we should have what we want--not what she wants.
Is there any easy way to get her to back off without offending her.

Hmm for me, the whole passage of the vow can be summarized that i will love her as long as i live in all circumstances, even if she fail me (in terms of being unfaithful). easy say than done but marriage to me is always something worth longing for and making it a reality.

i know it hurts terribly if she fail me, but the bottomline is that the vow contains my solemn pledge to love her unconditionally and it doesn't matter if she doesn't keep it. else it isn't a true love from me.

peace to all its just my personal view.
