YES, my daughter is 5 and is going to be a flowergirl, we watched an Arthur(arthur is a cartoon on PBS) episdode where DW is the flower girl and Arthur is the ring bearer. Also I have put on some bridal shows like "Who's wedding is it anyway" on Bravo and let her watch the little girls and see what they do. We also practice her walking with her basket and her smiling. But getting the dress made it real for her and made it alot more exciting.

But the one thing I would want to stress is to get her used to the idea that she will be walking without an adult in front of alot people that are staring at her. But you have to phrase it in a way that wont scare her to death, so be careful. Maybe let her mom handle that one since she will know how to talk to her daughter. You should talk it up though, because I know 5 year old girls, its the age where they get really head strong and if they decide they arent going to do something, you wont get them to change their minds. So make it sound really awesome so you dont have a battle of wills the day of the wedding trying to get her to walk down that aisle. But also, dont be disappointed if she desont go, its scary to have all eyes on you as an adult, imagine it when you are 5.

ETA:I just saw a Barbie commercial for a wedding kit with a bride and groom barbie and a wedding cake that opens into a set and flowersgirls. Maybe this would be a good gift for her.

The usual name for a bridesmaid of this age is a Flower Girl. Tell her she's going to be a Princess for the day but that she has to be a very good girl as you are going to be the main Princess. Ensure a friend or her mother is on hand with sweets, books, toys and games to keep her occupied if her attention strays and when you are signing the register. Little ones can be so cute at a wedding but do have the potential for misbehaving at the worst time so be prepared!

there is no issue with the earth being 4.5 bil. years previous. i'm a Christian and that i enroll in this concept. The Bible says that a million day in the international is 1000 years in heaven and 1000 years in the international is an afternoon in heaven. So for sure, time isn't gonna be literal while speaking relating to the seven day theory. moreover, God did not create the solar until finally the third "day" so there is no thank you to degree the 1st 2 days as far as guy is worried, so could not it have been approximately 4.5 bil. years? it might desire to be.

Why don't you try showing her a film with little girls as bridesmaids in, ask her if she wants to do something like that (and pray that she says yes!) but I would tell her closer to the day or you will never hear the end of it!! If she is nearly 6 at the wedding then she should understand what she is supposed to be doing! Congratulations and good luck!

i have a niece's who are 2 yrs & 8 yrs old, one didn't understand what i was trying to ask her but the other one did, so in the end the 8 yrs old told her sister that they were going to be princess for a day, with a beautiful dress & wear a crown just like cinderella.

now all we get is when will she be dressing up like cinderella.

just tell her that she is going to be like a princess for the day and that she is going to be a very lucky girl and at the end of the day she will get a lovely present if she keeps her lovely smiles for the pictures and keep reminding her throughout the big day

good luck and all the best

Explain that she will be one of the bride's helpers.

My friend's little girl heard I had been the bridesmaid for her Mommy. She assumed that I went to Mommy's house and cleaned it.
