Before my wedding I bought a book from 'Confetti', I got all 3 of our readings from there... It has a selection of both biblical and non-biblical readings... We chose two non-biblical ones and one biblical at the vicar's request... It was a fantastic book and helped immensely... Good luck, and I hope you have an amazing day! xx

I asked this question prior to my wedding (which was 3 weeks ago) & had some good answers & websites to look at but the best advice I had was to work from the heart - look at your relationship & think "what do I really feel" and you will get your answer. Our little daughter read "Guess how much I love you" by Sam McBratney and it was perfect. But it was perfect for US & our situation so you will too find your perfect reading - even if it is one you write yourself. Good luck with your search & have a lovely day. We certainly did!!

I know some very popular wedding poems:
William Shakespeares's Sonnet 29
K. Gibran's: "The Prophet" (this is so good for weddings)
and perhaps "Now You Will Feel No Rain" - which is an English translation of an Apache Song.

my husband's and my verse is Romans 1:11-12
For I long to meet with you so I may impart to you some spiritual gift to make you strong that is, that you and I may be mutually encouraged by each other's faith....
You could also do Ecclesiastes 3:1-8
the one that goes...
"TO EVERY THING THERE IS A SEASON: ECCLESIASTES 3: 1-8"
To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under heaven:
A time to be born, and a time to die;
a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
A time to kill, and a time to heal;
a time to break down, and a time to build up;
A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together;
A time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;
a time to rend, and a time to sew;
A time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
a time to love, and a time to hate;
A time of war and a time of peace.
My parents had this read at their wedding....good luck
