Terms of endearment are like flowers. They are delightful and usually mean no harm, despite an occasional subconscious attempt on the part of some people to diminish people into simpler, more easily dominated creatures. But, with the social balance today so heavily bent in the direction of epitath and slur, a term of enderament should be considered a breath of good, fresh air. "Snuukuhms" is one of those terms of endearment that some people say, especially men, when they are tying to convince a smaller, less powerful creature, that he means it no harm and that he will be gentle and trustworthy.

It's a term of endearment, actually. People tend to come up with all sorts of crazy "pet" names for their spouse, kids, or loved ones. -And most of those silly little names are nothing original at all! They've been around for years, if not centuries. I won't even bother to give a few other examples of pet names here, since you've probably heard most of them yourself! Personally, I'd stick with something more personal, like the person's nickname, or an adaption of it, rather than that worn-out generic stuff!

I would think that "snookums" is a term of endearment. At least it is a fun term, I guess. I doubt that it infers hate.
