My groom and I are wanting to go on a really great honeymoon so we're having to cut a few dollars here and there in our wedding but still have it be beautiful. I was wanting to make my own wedding cake but is there a way to do it yourself and still get it to look good?

I am a seventh day adventist girl, and i have been going out with a muslim guy for over three years now. he wants me to convert, but i have a strong faith in jesus christ. and my family would stop talking to me if i do. same with his side of the family, they will not approve. so we are thinking about just getting it done ourselves, is that a good idea?? i dont wanna hurt either side of the family. talking to them is useless they will never accept. what should i do?

two and a half months to the wedding and my fiancee has decided for the both of us to postpone the wedding. He did this without even discussing it with me prior to. He thinks that we argue too much. I tried to explain to him that I was just extremely stressed out with all of the planning and not having much help from him. Prior to the planning everything was supposedly perfect. What do you think?

I'm 49, feel a little old to be given away. Also been married before - my dad walked me down the aisle when I was 23. I'd like to hear how other people have handled this.

I mean it comes from a pageant catholic tradition. What matters is that that man/woman you'll marry gives you his/her full heart right?
Because a 24k ain't gunna stop ir prevent a divorce right? Also, (since we are not having rings), what is a way we can publicly show ppl we ARE married. Like the way you look at each other, talk etc...
What's YOUR opinion/idea in this touchy/ controversal subject? Thanks to all.

My fiance and I decided we don't want to leave the United States for our honeymoon so we're looking for a great place to go. Maybe a resort or an all-inclusive/very romantic place! Does anyone have any suggestions of places you've been or know of? Websites? (No Disney suggestions though, thats already on our list of places to consider!) Thanks!!

I am a hispanic girl, and my fiance is half white-half hispanic. More than half of his family doesn't speak a word of spanish, while more than half of my family doesn't speak a word of English! We decided that our wedding ceremony should be bilingual. I am of Mexican heritage and there are many rituals that we practice in our Catholic wedding celebrations aside from those of a regular catholic wedding. In addition, some reading will be in English, while others will be in Spanish. In order to make things less confusing for our guests and relatives, we want to include both english and spanish translations of all readings and rituals in our wedding programs. We are debating over whether we should have two separate programs, one in English and one in Spanish, or whether we should have one bilingual program, or whether we should bother to include the readings and explanations of the rituals at all. WE NEED HELP!!Thanks in advance for the answers!

Question is it ok if the bride changes out of the gown during the reception. I've never been one to stay dressy tooo long! Is it ok to change after the dance, into something still nice and dressy but pants.

I have been seeing all of this information on "honeymoon registries." People are choosing to have their honeymoon as one of their registries, along with the normal "stuff we need" registries. Would you help a couple out on this type of registry? Also, if you have used one, how did it work for you?

I watched my mom die at the hospice from ovarian cancer about 8 months ago. Before she died, my fiance told her that he wanted to marry me. So I am glad she knew before she past, but now the wedding is coming up. I've been looking at photos of weddings and I keep seeing the bride getting ready with her mom. I see the bride crying tears of joy with her mother and then I just start sobbing. How can I be a happy bride at my wedding when there is an obvious emptiness? I love my fiance's family and of course my fiance, but they aren't replacements of my mother. I so terrified I am going to be a basket case on what should be one of the happiest days of my life!
