In order to get a marriage license, both you and your fiance have to go to the courthouse and apply for a license in person - you fill out a form and pay a fee. You have to show your ID, etc. Also, you should know that New Jersey has a RESIDENCY REQUIREMENT. In order to get married in a particular county in NJ, either you or your fiance must show proof of residency in that county.

you go to the town halll in the town that you live. you pay a fee for the linense. you need to bring a witness with you. the license is good for up to 30 days after the day that you get it. In the state of new jersey you don't need blood test or anything. I would say call you town hall before going down it see what they need. With my ex-husband it was just our drivers lincenses to prove age and that we lived in the town. Good luck and congrats.

What town do you live in? Call your local city hall and find out what their requirements are.
