My finacee and I got engaged about a year and a half ago now. And we are getting married next summer. So she has had her ring for a while. We decided to put off getting married until she finished her undergrad. Anyways, I really wanted to take her ring and have a bigger stone put in it. Is this possible? And does any one know a good (fairly inexpensive) way to go about this? Anyone with experience? Anything helps.

My friend called me tonight and wanted to know if and how she can tell one of her bridesmaids that she doesn't want her in the wedding anymore. She has had a longer engagement than expected ( over 2 years) and she asked this person to be a bridesmaid when she first got engaged. Two years later they have drifted apart but the person is still expecting to be a bridesmaid. How can my friend tell this person that she no longer wants her in the wedding??

few days ago, we broke up because he insulted me like a ***** and said hurtful things on my dad. It all happened because I danced at my cousin's wedding, he hates when I danced. But I enjoyed dancing, and he just cannot bear it. Now we are living separately, and yet I cannot stop thinking about my love, he means my world, my life. I love him too much. Please can anyone help me about this????

I've spent months listening to my sister's excitement as she planned her wedding. At the same time, I am studying for a national board exam that will determine my career and will be taken on the opposite coast. It turns out that my exam falls on the same day as my sister's wedding. Due to other circumstances, neither can be rescheduled for a later date. It's as if I'm caught in the middle of a Sartre novel. Where should I go?

I have chosen Emerald green as my color, with silver accents. Since it's a wedding, there will also be lots of white.

Do you think I should pick a second color, like a yellow or a purple, or should I just stick with just the green? Any suggestions?

Is it unusual if a family of 3 children and their 4 first cousins all in their late 30's and early 40's don't want to marry at all? Could this possibly be a family gene that runs in the family for non-marriage or just end of the line? Thoughts?

Just this summer, I was the happiest woman alive. I was planning to be married by next summer. Suddenly, communication slumped. All he had to offer were empty promises and demands. When I expressed how I felt about all of it, he cut off all communication. There are people who have his new cell number, and he didn't offer it to me. He demanded that I leave my career, family, and everything I've worked toward behind and go whereever it is he wants to settle down, without any concrete plans. When I agreed, but said I need a few more months to tie up a few loose ends, he wasn't interested.

I'm wondering if this was a weak attempt at testing my love for him. Loving someone doesn't mean you have to be completely stupid. Am I wrong for asking for more time?

Our kids are getting married soon. We know that the groom will be our son in law and our daughter will be their daughter in law. The question is how do we as parents refer to ourselves? Are we the "out-laws"?

My wedding date was set for the 18th of November. We have all the details in order. We have a few more things to pay for. My fiance wants to push back the date. He says that the money is too tight and we have our regular bills to pay. I say that we will alwyas have bills to pay so it doesen't make a difference if we do it now or later. So he says that we should wait or go to the court house. But I want to have a wedding. I do love him and I want to marry him I just don't want to be waiting for him to get him self together. Now here it is two weeks before the wedding and he says that we don't have enough money. I wonder if that is the real reason. Now I'm afraid if I wait that he is going to do the same thing again if we set another date.

I am 23 and my fiancé is 25, we currently live together, and have been for 2 years. We met in collage, and for a couple of years we had an amazing sex life. Since we have gotten engaged she does not want to do anything sexual AT ALL!! It is driving me crazy! Every time that I try to talk to her about it she gets defensive, and says she doesn't want to get pregnant before the wedding. She says that I always presure her. What about my feelings? She is no longer taking birth control, because she doesn't want to waste the money on it. I am afraid that if she is acting like this now, when we get married we may never have sex. There is 6-months left until the wedding, what is the best way to get through this?

Did he finance it or just pay for it straight up? For instance, did he get a zales card and pay it off through a credit card or did he have all the money to pay for it at once?

We are leaning more and more into having our wedding outside of a church- but not on someones lawn. We have about 125-150 people coming, and plan on having a reception indoors.

Has anyone had their wedding (not destination) outdoors? If so, where?

What would you do if you and your fiance was walking into a store
with you daughter and futuer mother-in-law and Two girls pass by
and tell your fiance hi, knowing that your standing next to him? Also the girl thats calling him by his name was his EX- girl-friend.
would you ignore it or would you think that was disrespectful of her?
